Bottled (thanks omhper). Deep amber, close to black colour, small beige head, that leaves some lace. Aroma is roasted malts, quite big on roasted barley and ashes. Flavour is roasted malts, ashes, mild fruityness. and mild earthy notes. Travlr (25749) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - JUN 13, 2010
Tap at Birreria Paradiso. Medium brown color, mostly clear, tan head, solid lacing. Aroma of caramel, freshly mown grass, licorice. Taste is well balanced malt and bitterness, light spice. Very tasty. omhper (25541) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - SEP 19, 2010
Bottled. Very dark brown, rich firm head. Toffee and milk chocolate is dominant. Sweet with well sized body and clean mouthfeel, notes of molasses. Fruity and dried out by grassy hops. Alcohol plays a significant part too. Dark chocolate finish with some cocoa bitterness. If there is a Double India Black Lager this is it... Some very nice flavours, but a bit clean and too ramped up in alcohol to work 100%. madmitch76 (25298) - , Essex, ENGLAND - JUN 24, 2012

Opaque black beer. Good light brown head. The head is creamy with a little smoky malt. Soft palate - light and fluffy. Creamy dark malt. Whisper of roast. A little lactose sweetness. Soft finish has a little hop bitterness. Comes over as a sumptuous porter. Nice.
Bottle 65 cl. Courtesy of joergen. Pours a dark brown with an orange hue and a dense and creamy beige head leaving laces. Great and fresh hoppy - citrusy - nose with some roast and vanilla. Solid body, hard roasted malts, herbal and spicy hopping with a dry and malty bitterness. Clearly some alcohol in the finish also. 110910
