Bottle pour shared - little head over a black body. Aroma is coconut, sweet malt, wood and overarching sweetness. Good stuff, particularly as it warms. Flavor is quite enticing - heavy on the chocolate with toasted coconut, malt, more than a hint of booze, roasted malt, and a strong overarching sweetness. Palate is very syrupy and thick - minimal carbonation - a serious sipper that drinks close to its ABV. Glad to share this treat - would actually be quite the task to knock out a full bottle of this, but happy to try it once! Homer321 (5116) - Melboring, Florida, USA - AUG 23, 2014
Bottle. Nose is silky and smooth with light vanilla. There are actually chunks in my glass. I hope that is coconut. Lush rich and chocolate. Really yummy. Very smooth initially. A slight boost as it warms. Nice. 77ships (9947) - Antwerpen, BELGIUM - AUG 10, 2014
355 ml. bottle split by 3 @ “Memorabel Tastingkje”. Thanks to tderoeck! 2013 Vintage. Pours black with no head. Flakes of coconut underneath cap. Nose is crazily alcoholic as is the whole beer, we had a 16.45 % ABV Avery beer right before this one & it was nowhere near as boozy as this one. Pure booze in the nose, harsh with thick chocolate syrup underneath, very sweet rum, brown sugar, vanilla, very thick & syrup-like. Wowza this is boozy. Taste is very sweet, brown sugar, chocolate syrup, molasses, toffee, thick malts, prune, plum, date, vanilla, thick black chocolate, booze kick, thick rum, pure booze kick, wowza, thick syrupy creamy body, soft carb. Fun but sort of overkill as well. To bad that I didn’t get any coconut in here but it is probably too old for that now. Great stuff all the same, brutal. bu11zeye (13029) - Frisco (Dallas), Texas, USA - JUN 30, 2014

UPDATED: JUN 4, 2014 Poured from bottle to snifter. Dark hue with tan head. Aroma is chocolate, coconut, vanilla, sweet rum, caramel. Mouthfeel is great with full body and good carbonation. Taste is sweet throughout with a slight tannic following and ethanol finish. Overall this is an absolutely fantastic brew. jcartamdg (3470) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 15, 2014

Bottle @ 10K + OT. Thanks for sending this my way, Aaron. Muddy dark brown pour with little to no head. Smells like chocolate syrup, fudge, raisin, rum, and vanilla. Light coconut, roast, and wood. Really, really sweet tasting. Quite syrupy and very low carbonation. Hershey’s syrup, rum, raisins, and a hint of coconut. Quite a bit of vanilla. A touch of Mrs. Butterworth’s, too.
