Poured from a bottle. Dark amber in color. Slight amount of head. Smells sour. Tastes sweet, sour, and very plant like. Has a very prickly pear after taste. After taste Stays in mouth for a long time. Light amount of lacing is present.

UPDATED: AUG 17, 2016 2014 bottle at Tap and Handle. Pours orange copper sith a modest beige head and a sour fruit and tequila aroma. There is a puckeringly sour pear flavor with a tart finish and a tequila aftertaste. Strange and delicious.

Thanks wchesser! I know I’ve been holding for a while but it’s time to start with the oldest Barrel series I have and begin popping as I have three more coming. Smell is grape skins, lactic, subtle pear, bright and oak. Taste is bright, agave, rainbow nerds, medium tart. The vibrancy is beautiful on this. Not getting much if any straight tequila but the broken down components. Really unique and straight awesome.

BeerandBlues2 (13311) - Escondido, California, USA - MAY 29, 2015
Bottle at home courtesy of Ratman. Pours lightly hazy copper with a small, fizzy white head, short retention with light lacing. Aroma is tequila, oak, grapes and honey/agave, pear esters, light acetic acid and pedio with cereal malt. Flavor is tart grapes, funky earthy yeast, oak, tequila, agave and cereal malt with a dry finish. Medium body and carbonation.

Brouwerij (959) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - MAR 5, 2015
Bottle, big thanks to Eric. Pours moderately hazy, burnt, copper orange with rapidly dissipating white head. Negligible lacing. Aroma is moderately tart, funky, mildly vegetal, big oak and tequila. Flavor is mildly tart, sweet prickly pear, fading into tart, tequila, fruity, lime finish. Lingering oaky, buttery, tequila and mildly tart aftertaste. Prickly pear has mellowed, better balanced than when it was initially released. Soft carbonation, medium-light body, smooth texture, and lightly dry finish.

dmac (6262) - Toms River, New Jersey, USA - FEB 7, 2015
12oz bottle shared during the Central Jersey BA gathering. Poured a honey brown body with a smaller to average sized foamy samller head. Aroma is weird, celery, syrupy, touch of sourness, bad honey, agavae, prickly pear juice. Flavor is the same as the aroma but a touch more juiciness from the prickly pear. Body is medium with average carbonation and a lingering odd aftertaste. Interesting stuff, very different.

JaBier (7972) - Capital City, Ohio, USA - JAN 10, 2015
Bottle shared by a friend. Clear amber pour with no head. Aroma of funk, tart fruit and peppery yeast. Malty flavor with tropical fruit accents before a sour finish.

BiiruBierBeer (1049) - Phoenix, Arizona, USA - JAN 3, 2015
Faint mineral and sour smell to it. Very strange but kind of good taste that has notes of mineral water, fruit, and a planty (cucumber?) sort of taste to it that is kind of refreshing.

Bottle... This beer rocks!... Pours hazy and amber with a small, creamy head. Good retention. The nose is super fruity - prickly pear and stone fruits - with a light note of woody funk. The flavor is also fruity, but sour as well, offering tons of prickly pears and hints of watermelon and cucumber. Tart, fruity finish. World class beer provided by landhoney!

mcberko (17830) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - DEC 12, 2014
12 oz. bottle, pours a cloudy dark orange amber with a small off-white head. Aroma brings out lots of pear skins, followed by intense tequila barrels. Flavour is heavy on the tequila barrels, way too much for me, followed by pear skins and subtle dry tartness. Tequila barrels really put me off, but I suppose they are used pretty well here. Cohesive and pleasant, I’m just not a fan of tequila.

cpetrone84 (1810) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 9, 2014
pour is lightly hazed copper with a white head. Nose is fruited, pear is light, hint of kiwi, sweeter, faint tequila and grain notes. Taste is fruitier, tequila is faint. Pear comes through more in the back with a moderate tartness. High carb and light body.
