Good god, if you want your bones to hurt, your body to shake and a hangover to persist until the next evening, then by all means drink a bottle of this in under 6 seconds as your first drink before going on to drink more imperial stouts and dipa’s the same night. Wow.

Bottled: June 27, 2014, sampled: Dec. 4, 2016. Aromas show off a lot of the barrel influence; caramel, vanilla, & spice. Rum flavors dominate, giving a lot of caramel & molasses sweetness up front; some spice & roasty notes follow, but the alcohol heat is all over the finish. Syrup sweetness lingers for a long time between sips. It warms up and gives off a smoky, savory note as well. Medium-to-full body, sticky, & hot. Overall an interesting experience that tastes like an imperial stout with a shot of spiced rum tossed in!

Dogbrick (13777) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - JAN 27, 2016
Sample at the "Black Friday 01" tasting on 01/22/2016. The beer pours an opaque brown-black color with a medium foamy beige head that diminishes steadily. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of roast malt, dark chocolate and rum. Full-bodied with flavors of smoked malt, coconut, rum and chocolate. The finish is boozy with a rum and malt aftertaste. Good beer all around.

12 oz bottle, dressed in the signature Avery foil. Generously shared by Ratman at the beer museum. Huge thanks! Rating from the notes. Can’t believe the ABV tag here. In a blind I would maybe peg this at ten. I believe this is now the strongest beer I’ve ever rated. Pours black with a tan ring head. Heavy barrel vanilla aroma. Flavor is sweet, as expected, with a ton of vanilla, rum, graham cracker, and a smooth bourbon like finish. Incredible stuff.

Bottle pour split with Ratman, thank you for this. Black pour, thin head nice balance of rum flavor, semisweet chocolate little coffee, licorice, great balance of flavor. Again thank you Ratman.
