2015 bottle from cellar. Poured into snifter - pours a dark reddish brown with a light khaki head. Head doesn’t stick around long, dissipating to a ring. Aroma of cherry with a bright lemon-lime citrus note. Taste is a little bit funky with lots of cherry that lingers all the way to the finish. Bottle, aged well. Dark muddy brown with an average tan head that lingers more than most, aroma is apple, sour grape, bright stone fruit, and lactic acid. Taste is lactic acid, sour apples, sour berries, and sour stone fruit. Dry and lingering.

From notes. Had at a tasting at Abu and Ashley’s on December 15. 12 oz bottle. The pour is a reddish brown color with a little light shining theough and an off white ring of head that disappears quickly. The aroma is surprisingly sweet for a sour red. There is a sourness to it, but the bourbon is also prevalent. The sherry and grapes are interesting to it, and there is a good maltiness before the wood makes an apprarance. The flavor is a little sharper. The bourbon is intense and the fruits fall off a little. It’s just getting a little messy here on the finish. The mouth feel is a little light and decently carbonated with a lingeringly messy finish. Bottle. Cloudy brown color with a small white head that slowly recedes to a fine film. The aroma is strong, when the cap is popped you can smell this across the room, with red fruits. The taste is tart cherries and sour grapes set in a mild brown malt base. The palate is medium. Finishes long and sour. Overall: decent sour.
