12 oz. bottle, sent from wchesser (thanks a lot, Will!), pours black with a small beige head. Aroma is very complex, with bourbon barrels, chilis, cinnamon and a little vanilla. Flavour is rather smoky, with bourbon barrels, chilis, and cinnamon. Lots of heat, but pleasantly so. Finishes lightly smoky and bourbony. Excellent. On tap @ Strong Ale Fest 2016. Extremely dark brown beer with a thin khaki head. Not the greatest...kind of the typical Avery high boost mess. Has some nice qualities from the adjuncts, particularly the vanilla and cacao. Get sort of a dusty cinnamon thing going on. Decent amount of oak, lots of bourbon, and strong vanilla. Big time sweetness and certainly on the boozy side.
