bottle share at hill farmstead, Very close to the Sui Genesis, a little rougher and very tart. That could be because this beer isnt aged as long. Great stuff. badnewsbeers (2312) - Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA - SEP 23, 2011
bottle shared with a generous friend...pours a reddish peach color from a 12oz bottle...minimal white head. aroma of big funk, peach and apricot pits, light sugar, and some awesome zin barreling...very inviting, and absolutely tart, although not overly so. flavor of big oak, white zin, port, dark berry and cherry...funky, tart, peachy finish with all sorts of citrus and zest...perfectly sour with some of the best aging i have noticed in a sour. deep, complex, and altogether one of the nicest american sours i have ever had...superb traPISSED (106) - São Paulo, BRAZIL - AUG 20, 2011
330cl bottle at home shared by oj83. This is a great beer that is amazing for the ability for hiding it’s strength! Lots of clover honey but the taste is very hard to define! The colour is golden the palate is slick and the pour produced a healthy head! Great American sour but I wish it was in a 75cl bottle. bottle at dak’s 8/14/10.
honey yellow color with a small white head.
the aroma reminds me of young burgundy pinot... dill, pickles and oak. other than that there are notes of fruit/cherry/grape, grass, oak, leather and grain. there is tart vinegar and funky all over the place.
the flavor is the same but the sourness is lower than expected although it is incredibly funktastic. it is crisp and very dry. 9/4/8/4/18

Bottle from Nick -- thanks, Nick! Lively carbonation. Very vinous. Complex yet delicate notes of vanilla, light wood, sour cherries, white wine, freezer jam, and yeast esters. Healthy sourness but not mouthpuckering. Slightly warming on the throat. Zingylicious finish. Flavors intensify as it warms to room temperature. Overall, very pleasant and richly flavored. 12 oz bottle. Cloudy orange brown with white froth. Nose is sour cherry, oak and leather. Medium light with a foamy mouthfeel. Taste is cherry, strawberry preserves, apricot, lemon juice and toffee. Not so vinous, a fruity Flanders hybrid; curious stuff. chibuck (3513) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUN 9, 2011
murky bright orange gold with a nice tope head, good lace and ring... nice complex but not overstated nose, very vinous, mostly white wine notes, grass, grape skins, oak, brett sour, a little light, if stronger would be awesome... the taste is awesome, a tons going but supremely drinkable, lots of oak, brett, a sour bite with a white wine backbone, reminds me a bunch of a cabernet savignon... this is a great sour, and if you like wine, you will LOVE this Plovmand (8349) - Helsinge, DENMARK - MAY 22, 2011
Bottle at Papsø. Pours hazy deep golden with a medium off white head. The aroma is cherries, citrus, caramel, oak and vanilla. The flavour is brett, citrus, caramel, cherries, oak and vanilla. Long sweet and sour finish. Rciesla (5499) - Exit 15W, New Jersey, USA - MAY 5, 2011
Bottle. Pours a hazy golden body with an off white head. Aromatically vinous with apple, sour bruin, win y, vinous, Cabernet and brett tones. Big cherry notes, Chardonnay, port wine, and cab. Crazy big warmth and big wine notes, tastes a bit like someone spilled wine in my sour ale.
