12 oz bottle via trade from notes. Pours dark brown to black in color with a small beige head. The aroma and flavor had roasted malt, chocolate, dark fruit, tart cherries, figs, bourbon, wood, vanilla, some booze, big beer, would love to get another bottle. wedgie9 (2702) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - FEB 3, 2015
Tasted on 11/16/13 from a capped 12oz bottle at our Avery Barrel-Aged tasting. Pours dark brown with an auburn hue, and a thin tan head that leaves a thin collar of lace. The nose is dark chocolate, coffee, cinnamon oak, and a touch of smoke. The flavor is super dark and roasted, cinnamon oak, coffee, and an added light sour cherry note. The body is full with light carbonation and a long super roasted finish. SuperTiti33 (888) - Aylmer, Quebec, CANADA - JAN 15, 2015

Cherry, bourbon, and malt smell. Walnut taste with minerals. Syrupy mouthfeel. The taste is tolerable initially, but the more you sip it, the grosser it gets. BoBoChamp (5755) - Gent, BELGIUM - JUN 25, 2014
36cl, recently retired exclusive American brew, with sour cherries, thx alot to Jacob for bringing this over!, very complex Stout, roasted/sour/fruity and slightly alcholic/spicy/woody, yet not too heavy, very balanced, hazy, small head, top class!, yet very expensive!, WOW!

12 oz. bottle. Rating from notes. Crushed with my man, TheDude. Pours a dark brown with a small beige tan head. Aroma is bourbon, cherries, barrel notes and sweet dark malts. Notes of molasses, brown sugar, and dark fruits. Traces of booze in the aroma. Flavor is tart, sour, with medium sweetness peaking through the sour notes. Lots of cherry and raisin notes, chocolate, roast. Mouthfeel is coating, chewy, and exhausting. Finishes a touch boozy. Kevin (2199) - Montana, USA - DEC 3, 2013
going through my cellar in an attempt to drink it it down. could have sworn i had rated this sucker before. black body with a brown head that does not last. strong grape(which is probably cherry, but seems like grape to me) scent with a fuck ton of roast and raisin. not much sour which makes me happy. cherry is definitely still there though. a lot of cherry. sweet flavor rolls into the deep chocolate. damn this is good. i just had a year old expediton and this is treating me better, and that was a damn fine beer. body is just a bit thin but i can’t think of much more to knock on this. hopdog (12341) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 18, 2013
12oz bottle. This was one Big Boy! Poured a black color with brown edges and an off white head. Cherries, wood, vanilla, chocolate, roast, and some bourbon. Medium alcohol burn in the finish - but for a big boy like this, expected. Westmeister (2129) - Atlanta, Georgia, USA - JUL 7, 2013
All of the first 10 from the series were shared by craftbeerdesign. Probably second best out of the 10. Pour thick motor oil. Booze, leather, old bourbon, some cigar wrapper in the nose. Taste is very interesting. The cherries came off more in the spicy, peppery than tart. Great bourbon, vanilla, leather components as well. Superb big beer. mcberko (17178) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - FEB 27, 2013
12 oz. bottle, sent generously by aplusbreaks (thanks a lot, Austin), pours a deep dark mahogany with a tiny head. Pretty hot on the nose, full of rich bourbon barrels, a subtle presence from the cherries, and alcohol - smells rich and intense. Flavour is extremely decadent bringing out equal parts complex bourbon barrels and potent sour cherries - the sourness not being overwhelming at all, but instead perfectly situated amongst the bourbonized complexity. The 15+% is almost completely masked with only a light tickle on the back of the throat. Extremely thick body, with the sour cherries used expertly. Sour stouts never usually impress me, but this is easily the best take on the style I’ve had. Awesome stuff and my favourite of the Barrel-Aged Series so far.
