Drank on 12/28/11. Pours slightly translucent on the edge with a solid dark core. Almost no head or lacing. Nose just screams this is going to be big. Alcohol is very well carried. Big earthy and vanilla wood notes and coffee on the nose with some cola. Taste is massive and long with huge toasted coconut and coffee. I really could not pull out the cherry fruit, just in a slight tart and sour finish foil to the sweetness of the stout, but the bourbon is there a bit mostly on the nose. Had this solo and then saved the rest for dessert against a super rich dutch chocolate ice cream from a local creamery. This beer stood up strong to it and was not diminished at all by the pairing. Best of the barrel aged I have had by far. What a treat.

Bottle from my boy Floydjonz. Cola brown pour with tan head. Aroma is chocolate covered cherries, nuts, bourbon. Wow so much going on here....tons of chocolate, cherries, cocoa powder, subtle oak and mild tartness and slight alcohol. M Great stuff.

Big thanks to daknole for sharing this one. This is nuts man! It pours deep darkness with deep infra red edges and mocha head. The aroma is simply huge and complex and weird and interesting. I get burnt smoky spinach, roasted figs, black licorice, black chocolate bar, grocery store produce aisle, mushed up dates, coconut, graham cracker and charred brown sugar. Whew! There is tons going on here but it all works well together. The taste hits with loads of coconut, sweet cherry juice, sweet black current jam and then it runs into molasses covered wood, more molasses, caramel covered graham cracker, toffee and chocolate. Holy hell this is something else. Good gravy!!

Theres stronger notes of cherries in the flavour along with light smoke and figs. Would love another bottle!

Bottle. Thanks Theis for sharing. Pours jet black with a brown head. The aroma is heavy roasted with notes of lovely sour cherries, chocolate, light coffee, light licorice and has some notes of ripe dark berries. The bourbon is devilish! The flavour is very intense! Hard roasted malt, sweet caramel, cherries, bourbon, ripe fruit, cocoa and light coffee. Long sweet roasted cherry finish. Wow!!!

Pours a thick, opaque black with a thin tan head. Dark, full caramel aroma with bitter chocolate roastedness, vanilla, oak, and Bourbon elements. The flavor follows directly from the aroma profile with the addition of some dark fruit elements. The body is thick and rich and delivers the intense flavor profile heavily on the palate.

very dark oily color. The cherries and cocoa flavors and aroma are perfection together. Quite a beverage.

Beautiful black pour. Smells like chocolate berries and chocolate. Strong sweet taste with bitter chocolate. I can drink it all day.
