Served in an Avery goblet. Prune like with some wine notes. Oak and dark fruits. Some tannins. Fairly acidic. Just sour; not complex at all.

Bottle at home shared with my wife. Poured a dark brown, with a red tint and no head. Wood, vinegar, cherry, vegetables, acetone, and hairspray in the aroma. Taste is red wine vinegar, cherry pit, light funk, nail polish, oak, and tang with a mouth-puckering sour finish that continues to linger sip after sip. Light body with little-to-no carbonation. A very sour beer with wine-like characteristics. Nicely balanced with wood, vinegar, and sweetness all melding very well.

Bottle shared by alexsdad06. Poured a clear reddish brown color with an average to large frothy off-white head that motly lasted with good lacing. Moderate to heavy tart, wood and sour grape aroma. Medium to full body and a dry smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy sour flavor with a medium to heavy sour finish of moderate to long duration. This is a complex beer that exceeded my expectations.

12oz bottle - courtesy of wavers. feeble attempt to drink a beer post-race which will probably knock me on my ass... pours a deeper porter-ish like consistency, cola with less intense auburn edges. a quickly receding off-white head rests on top that eventually leaves a thin ring around the glass... aroma of vinegar, prunes, and dark fruit. somewhat boozy and phenolic. hints of chocolate underneath which fall to the wayside... flavors are a continuation of the same. dark cherries, plums, apple cider vinegar with the aformentioned boozy notes comprise up of the flavor. a touch of maltiness, chocolate but on a weaker level compared to the aforementioned. medium bodied but the strength is felt from the abv. the flavor and nose hold up nicely but it is a bit strong for my liking.
