On tap @ RnH w Streets and James. Dark purple pour, magenta hue. Looks like a port wine. Cannot even get a head if I shake it up a little. Aroma is tart, taste is the same. Really nothing distinguishable but just a really well done sour with the perfect amount of mouth-puckeriness. Some grape. Guess that comes from the zinfandel barrel. 12oz bottle poured into snifter. Dark murky color with a soft beige head. Aroma is slightly sour with hints of cherry and mustard. 12oz bottle poured into a Snifter at 42°. Color is a near black brown with good carbonation and a small tight tan head. Aroma is slightly sour with the scent of grapes, a hint of oak and a light wine note. It has a lighter medium body with a light crisp mouth feel. Flavor of tart black cherry, a sweet grape taste, oak and a touch of raisin. After taste is tart and dry with a touch of wine coming out. Overall its a very good brew with an extremely complex flavor palate.

bottle thanks to Ratman197 and my 100th Sour Rating!. dark brown pour with a small tan head with lots of tiny bubbles. leather, funk, oak, red wine barrel nose with a touch of lactic acid. medium body - big round bright sourness hits the mouth with zinfandel barrel notes, grapes, pedio and lactic acid. vinous throughout. lactic dry immensely tart finish that makes your head sweat a bit. light cherry on the back. another great sour from Avery! Draft at GABF. Pours a deep and murky brown with thin head that is light tan. Nose presents as tart and of honey. Caramel malt seems to be here in spades and some lacto, hint of balsamic. On tasting, tends too much to the sweet side, overshadowing a decent acidity. Hint of vinegar and caramel. bottle. pours dark brown with minimal head. aroma of tart cherry, vinegarette, funk, and some vinous characteristics. has a slight sweetness to the finish. flavor of bold black cherry and concord grape. tart and full of oak. some layered malt in the end. another fantastic avery sour.
