Sample during the "Micah's Downstairs Reopening" tasting on 03/02/2018. The beer is a deep reddish-mahogany color with a medium off-white head that dissipates steadily to an outer ring. Stringy lacing. Aroma of white wine, berry, yeast and malt. Medium body with flavors of vinous oak, tart cherry and berry, yeast and doughy malt. The finish is tart with a white Zin and oak aftertaste. Good beer overall.

12 oz bottle poured. Dressed in the uniform Avery gold foil. Love this series. Thanks to Tcon for the share! A dark cola brown pour. Bold dark fruit character. A constant sour with plenty of barrel presence. A unique wine note to this, but not surprised since I've had likely the least amount of tries with Zinf than any other style of wine, especially with aged beers. A much more mellow beer than expected with the imperial sour tag. Complex, and unique. A standout sour. Love it.

Bottle pour at home, from 2011, split with Andrew., black pour no head. Dark red wine aroma, smooth cranberry flavor nice and tart, little cherry and a small sweet finish, awesome beer here.

Big vinegar vibe here. Hazy dark brown pour with ok head and lacing. Spur finish. Some citrus. Tap at Churchkey.

Bottle to snifter (shared by arminjewell). Looks solid; a slightly translucent darm amberish brown with bubbly off-white lacing. Smells solid; nice and vinous with a pleasantly vinous presence that’s discernibly zin by the pepper. Tastes like it smells with some earthiness and a bit of red wine vinegar as well. Mouthfeel is medium full-bodied and pleasant. Tasty stuff.

12 oz bottled 8/17/11. Color is a deep mahogany. Very vineous. Earthy. Walnuts. Red apple skin. Slight sour, odd aftertaste.

very wine line and not as sour or acidic as most of the Avery BA project...though it’s likely a several year old bottle. Seemed tamer, with nice tannins, fruit and leather.
