On tap at the Avery tap takeover at Pub 17 in Denver, CO during GABF week 2013. Brown pour with a thin khaki head. Aroma of roasted coffee, light chocolate, and chai tea. The chai is prominent in the flavor with some added light chocolate and floral hops. Some spiciness from the chai on the finish. Decent overall.

Smells like star anise mostly, cinnamon, nutmeg, etc. Hoppy flavors balanced with the sweetness of the spices. Raisins and bread. A little thin on the mouthfeel but other than that, great flavor.

(Draught) cloudy medium brown, creamy tan head with nice lacing. Nose of chai, nutty, raisin, great spice balance. Taste is even better, chai but balanced without the overpowering allspice, raisin, clove, great nutty and spicy palate finish.

jmgreenuk (9303) - Kuala Lumpur, MALAYSIA - OCT 9, 2013
On tap at Avery. Poured a murky dark brown with a thin broken off white head. The aroma is big ginger and spice. The flavour is medium bitter with a spicy weak liqourice fruit palate. A really unusual beer which is really refreshing and if you like spice you will love this.

kermis (12869) - The Hague / Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - OCT 9, 2013
Draft sampled at the brewpub. Pours hazy brown with a small tan head. Aroma is strongly herbal, sage reminding me of stuffing with a Sunday roast. Also strong ginger. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with light carbonation. Its Sunday roast chicken dinner beer! (With ginger). Brilliant!

brokensail (16432) - Dublin, California, USA - OCT 8, 2013
On tap @ Avery. Dark brown pour with a khaki head. Ginger overwhelms the nose. Sage, roast, and cocoa powder. Mild chalk, lots of herbs, and a subtle sweetness. Flavor is all ginger up front. Herbal sage on the middle, some roast, toast, and bread sweetness. A bit chalky on the finish.

Poured at Avery's tap room. Smells like chai and tastes so much like chai. Pours brown orange color. Beer is very sweet. I have never tasted a beer anything like this.

This beer is very complex. A light brown appearance with a chai-like color. This beer has a lot of different spices and their tastes offer a diverse experience when consuming. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Big chai aroma here. Sweet and rich, and very full flavored for a brown ale. There is all chai spice in the flavor, as well as some malt. Good.
