Clear dark chestnut brown with a thin light tan head that doesn’t last very long. Big musty chai spice nose with big nutty brown malt notes and a hint of cinnamon. The flavor has a lot of chai and cinnamon tones to it, with a nutty/toffee brown malt finish. Loads of chai on the finish and throughout. djd07 (14554) - Houston, Texas, USA - JUL 13, 2016
On tap at the brewery 2014. Pours a dark copper with beige head. The aroma is chai, nutmeg, spices. Thin mouth light spice, nutmeg and cinnamon, light finish, good. Dogbrick (13019) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - APR 3, 2015
Sample at the new brewery. Cloudy brown color with a medium khaki head that diminishes steadily to a film. Stringy lacing on the glass. Aroma of chai spices and malt. Light-bodied with a nice spiced chai tea character and notes of biscuit malt and chocolate. The finish is sweetly spiced with a chai tea aftertaste. Pretty good overall. slowrunner77 (12051) - Reno, Nevada, USA - SEP 9, 2014
"This one’s all about the chai, so i imagine its love or hate, though why someone who doesn’t like chai is drinking this is beyond me. solid body for 5%, wonderfully spicy chai aroma and flavor...very well integrated with the lightly roasted brown. Sooo nice." BrewBoxer (2636) - New York, New York, USA - AUG 14, 2014

sampled at avery taproom pours a murky brown with a tan head. spice and cinnamon aroma with a slight chai taste ineedbeer (2154) - Oakland, California, USA - OCT 26, 2013
On tap at brewery.
Aroma is dominated by chai with a light roast and nutty character. No hops or alcohol present in aroma.
Pours a slightly cloudy brown with some ruby highlights and a thin tan head with average retention. Light lacing.
Flavor has a more noticeable malt character than the aroma. Light roast, moderate chocolate and nuttiness. Hints of dark caramel and toffee. Moderately strong chai notes but they come in mid palate so you can still get the malt notes. No hop flavor and light bitterness. Fairly sweet.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth.
Overall better than I was expecting. While the chai is strong, especially in the aroma, it doesn’t completely overwhelm the malt in the flavor. arminjewell (9675) - East Lansing, Michigan, USA - OCT 15, 2013
