Typical IPA looks with good stable head and slight hazyness. Nice brett aroma, tropical fruits, smooth and harmonic. thirdeye11 (6160) - Dallas, Texas, USA - MAR 3, 2011
(Draught during GABF week at the brewery) opaque golden orange pour, thick creamy lasting head. Nose is big and floral, brett, and oranges. Taste of florals, sweet malt, pine, nice balance, oranges and peaches. Slick mouthfeel, very soft carbonation, so creamy and so good. Dickinsonbeer (5074) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - DEC 26, 2010
Tap at the Brewery. Pours a hazed light amber with a nice head and lace. Aroma is funk, stinky horse farm, grass, phenolic, green hops, light citrus, plastic. Flavor is phenolic, grassy hops, light citrus, horse brett funk, leather, earth, clean and dry with an easy finish. Pretty good. bigbish (712) - California, USA - DEC 14, 2010
a tasty IPA. Pours cloudy sraw color with a thin head that laces the glass. The flavor is bready with some bitter citrus notes of grapefruit and pine. Very good. notalush (5875) - Denver, Colorado, USA - SEP 25, 2010
Tap at Avery - lovely hazy gold pour with an impressive, thick, lasting head - the flavor is pretty much what you would expect - an aggressive, citric hop profile with a fair amount of brett - it works, though - the brett is fairly prominent in this, with a lot of horseblanket and barnyardy character, as well as moderate phenols and come pineapple character - the hops compliment this fairly well - the sweetness is a little higher than I like in my bretty beers, but otherwise a neat and tasty experiment.

Avery Sour Ale Fest. One of the definite highlights of the tasting. Tons of earthy, grassy, funky, spicy notes flowing through this one. Lots of horseblanket and leathery goodness in the flavor. Very, very cool beer. potbeerjob (1343) - Denver, Colorado, USA - FEB 28, 2010
Draught at Sour Fest. Cloudy orange with thin white head. Aroma of citrus and pine hops, soap, light caramel and light funk. Taste is soapy hops and light funk from brett. Palate has good carbonation and is medium bodied. Big bitter finish (even more than their normal IPA). MIBRomeo (2570) - Wisconsin, USA - OCT 19, 2009
Straw colored pour w/ viz carbonation and a big whtie well coated head that laces well. Good well coated palate. Flavor is a west coast IPA hints of tangerine w/ the grapefruit and grass a tiny bit of sourness comes through in the aftertaste. Aroma of graepfruit and grass w/ hints of an earthy dirt & horseblanket. Good but odd, not heavily funked. BuckeyeBoy (7663) - Boise, Idaho, USA - OCT 4, 2009
Tap at Avery Brewing Tap room Pours out a gold topped with a cream head. Aroma was of light brett, bread, malts, and some floral notes. Taste more of the brett funk but a good mix of floral and pine hops. A light caramel sweetness helped round it off. KAggie97 (3529) - Ugly, Hot, and Humid Spring, Texas, USA - OCT 1, 2009
Tap at brewery, GABF ’09.
Pours a deep cheddar orange with a woodsy, cedar orange nose. Flavor is a nice musty grapefruit with cedar chunks. Coating mouthfeel. An interesting experiment that works.
