Poured for a special tapping at avery. Smells minty. Has a black color with tan head. Has chocolate taste with minty after finish. Medium body. Pretty sweet taste.
On tap at the brewery October 2014. Pours a dark brown with medium tan head that lasts. The aroma is strong mint, roast, cocoa. Medium body, strong milk chocolate, light mint, dry roast finish, very nice. Mep3222 (1538) - East Greenbush, New York, USA - FEB 28, 2015
Aroma of chocolate and mint, like an andeas candy. Taste is dry and slight bitter finish. Like cocoa bitter. No sweetness. Would expect a bit of sweetness with the aroma. Nice dry stout with a hint of mint. Different but like it.

De la poudre de cacao dans une base caramélisée délicate et un côté mentholé fort qui se prolonge dans l’amertume torréfiée. craftbeerdesign (2254) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - NOV 17, 2014
taster at Avery on 11/16/14. brown pour with a tan head. chocolate and mint aromas. strong mint flavors with some chocolate. the mint dominates the finish and lasts like a breath mint. nice but more than a taster would be too much for me. onceblind (9418) - Denver, Colorado, USA - NOV 3, 2014
Clear deep brown with a dark beige head. The aroma is earthy and somewhat herbal with cocoa and something almost like marijuana. The flavor is a bit light and nutty and earthy with a mint note that’s not very poignant and it generally kinda falls apart at the end. Not chocolaty enough but there’s still that dry slightly bitter mint note.

Tap at Avery. Pours black with tan head. Aroma is very minty and chocolate- as assumed. A little roast, smells like a peppermint patty. Taste is very minty, sweet, dry backbone, medium to full bodied. Overall, good. theothermatt (286) - Lakewood, Colorado, USA - APR 27, 2014
Taster at Avery. Dark, malty, roast nose. Light lacing. Medicinal mint with roast cocoa on the back end. Ok. HIGHB4LL (837) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - FEB 2, 2014
Taster at Avery’s. Appearance: average sized off-white head, deep amber red/brown color, clear, good lacing. Aroma: mint, cereal, chocolate, vanilla, roast, nuts. Palate: full body, creamy texture, soft carbonation. Taste: heavy sweetness the whole way through, tastes like a Girl Scout Thin Mint. Overall, I really enjoyed this beer, it is different and well done, even if it is not the most balanced (too much mint). pjaco (27) - - JAN 17, 2014
Excellent aroma and appearance that left much to be desired on the palate. An Avery fan .... just not of this one. Brouwerij (959) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - JAN 7, 2014
UPDATED: FEB 14, 2014 Tap at Avery. Pours brown with thin tan head, minimal lacing. Aroma is strong chocolate and mint, quite sweet, roasted malt. Flavor is roasted up front, with a strong chocolate and mint finish. A rather sweet stout, smells and tastes like a girl scout thin mint. Moderate carbonation and medium light body.
