Tap at Avery. Pours brown with quickly settling tan head, with a little thin lacing. Aroma is toasted and sweet coconut, with a mildly nutty, toffee, roasted malt background. Flavor is toasted, nutty, and toffee malts up front with a sweet, toasted coconut finish. Intensity of coconut flavor seems to vary. Soft carbonation, light body, and smooth texture. Flavor is sweet coconut and malts, caramel, toasted notes, and faint hop bitterness; semisweet finish that gradually dries out. Light/medium body and low carbonation.

Pour on tap at the brewery, dark brownish pour with thin off white head, aroma brought decent notes of toasted coconut but a bit faint, some nice cocoa powder, hints of nuts, brown sugar, spice, slight coffee, roast, hints of bread, biscuit, and caramel. On tap at Avery poured a clear reddish brown with a small lasting tan head. Aromas of cocoa, coconut and vanilla. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of cocoa, carmel, coconut and vanilla with a smooth lingering coconut finish.
