On tap at the brewery October 2014. Pours a dark amber brown with beige head leaving sticky lacing. The aroma is spice, yeast, toasted malt. Medium body,bready malt, spice, dry finish, decent.

Draught at Avery. Dark brown color, beige head. Bitter taste with hops, citrus, earthy notes, black currant, roasted malts and a bit of coffee. Bitter finish with citrus, hops and black currant. Very nice speciality saison.

Pour on tap at the brewery, dark brownish black pour with off white head, aroma brought notes of roast, coffee, hints of dark fruit, dark cocoa, roast, hints of spice, slight red fruit notes as well with a hint of spice. Taste is a mix of slight dark fruit, anise, dark cocoa, into roast, coffee, slight spice note into a bit of yeast, finishing fairly dry, slightly sweet.

On tap at Avery poured a clear dark reddish brown with a small lingering tan head. Aromas of coffee, roastiness, black pepper and light yeast. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a dry finish. Flavors of roastiness, black pepper and yeast with a crisp dry lingering peppery finish.

Tap at Avery. Pours brown with light brown head. Settles quickly with minimal lacing. Aroma is fruity, yeast, floral with some spice. Tastes fruity, apple, pear and peach, hint of bubblegum. Mild spice finish with a slightly bitter finish. Looks significantly darker than it tastes. Moderate carbonation and light body, perhaps a bit thin.
