Definitely one of the best brown ales with wide availabilty. High drinkability, i.e. don’t pay money for it. Really well made and kinda tasty, just not all that interesting. A little raison aroma, a little brown sugar flavor, and a lot of water.
It pours dark brown with a brown head that has moderate head retention. It is fairly clear. It has a chocolate and caramel aroma. The are background aromas of nuts, vanilla, and very light hops. The caramel is the most prominent flavor with the chocolate very noticeable. There are low levels of vanilla and nuts with a light spiciness. It has a moderate body with a moderately bitter finish. Overall, the balance is towards the malts with the hops being noticeable and providing good balance. Cool_Bond (2647) - KUNG_AV_OL @ Instagram, SWEDEN - JUN 21, 2017
Dark malt and coffee in flavor and taste. Good bitterness that fills the upper part of the mouth to a weak moment. Okay beer. Follow me @ Kung av öl @ Facebook for more pictures and ratings. Bacchus66 (196) - South Carolina, USA - JUN 4, 2017
From tap. Clear dark reddish brown, a finger of beige head. Generous aromatics of chocolate, almonds, roasted malt. Medium bodied, flavors of dark chocolate, nuts, sweet caramel notes. Pleasant nutty finish. Overall this smells great and and is nicely balanced. Almost a light porter in style. RickFifty (1238) - Fredrikstad, NORWAY - MAY 31, 2017
Mahogany brown color, beige head. Sweet and roasted malt nose, brown sugar, nuts, bread, hint of yeast. Malty taste, sweet, brown sugar, milk chocolate, metallic notes, hint of vanilla. Medium to light body, soft carbonation.

Not bad but has a little after taste that I wasn't fond of. Over all, it's a good brew.

Taste is kind of sweet with brown sugar and roasted almonds. Pretty ok brownie without impressing too much. Defreni (3153) - Husum, DENMARK - MAY 23, 2017
Flaske. Som en Brown ale skal være. Nøddebrun med et fint skumhoved. Duft af malt, let chokolade. Det er smagen der er i højsædet. Sødlig nødder med en lækker humleantast der gør øllen frisk og lækker. God mundfylde. MaltOne (366) - Wisconsin, USA - MAY 21, 2017
Pours dark, almost opaque, cola brown. Slightly sweet, brown bread aroma. Similar taste, with a very faint coffee finish, Palate is medium-light with a slightly creamy texture. Overall, its OK but doesn’t really get your attention... in fairness, I a suspect this can was a little off. Sorry Ellie. dnoaksson (827) - , SWEDEN - MAY 17, 2017
User452967 (99) - - MAY 13, 2017
Like it used to be in the good old days. A dark, heavy aroma. Looks like a brown Ale should. A mild taste of malts, bread, sugar, with low carbonation. Very nice with simple home cooking.
