Poured from 12oz bottle a very deep brown with a smallish head of foam that dissipated quickly leaving just a very fine layer.
The smell has a nice sweet and roasted malt nose with some chocolate there as well.
The taste is a very tasty sweetish malt up front with just a slight roastiness and a bit of chocolate mid way through. Nice. There's also a slight grainy flavour that shows up in the finish. This is a very solid Brown Ale!
Bottom line: Avery Ellie's is a brew that I can easily recommend as it's one of best of its style that I've tasted to date. szymonskc (996) - Skórcz, POLAND - SEP 15, 2017

I can't believe I've never rated this before. Tried for the first time in 2009 and had it numerous times since. Still one of my favorites. Light brown, some caramel and chocolate. Nice medium roastiness and a solid hop bite to finish. Finn (7916) - Tromsø, NORWAY - SEP 3, 2017
Boks 355ml fra Vinmonopolet Tromsø - Langnes. Drukket på Lillehøgda. Ultramørkebrun. Middels høyt kremaktig skum som daler sakte. Litt lacing. Lett karamellaroma. Myk munnfølelse. Smaken lett karamell & skarpbrent malt. Ettersmak av brent malt.

Can. Brown with beige lasting head. A lot of nuts in this one. Chocolate, rasted and some grassy hops also.
