Taster at the Avery taproom. Pours a hazy dark brown with an off white head. Dark fruit, red wine, oak and light funk on the nose. Med body with lots of oak, vinous notes, lactic acid, dark fruits and some lingering acetic acid. Tart finish with dark fruits and lactic acid. Great as usual! On tap at the brewery at the 23rd Anniversary Party. Clear, dark brown, with a small, creamy, beige head. Brown sugar, black cherries, lemon zest, black pepper, and molasses. Sweet and very tart. Tap at Avery. Pours a dark, murky red brown with very fine khaki head. Great retention, especially for the style, some thin lacing. Aroma is tart, lactic, oaky, strong vinous, and cherry. Flavor is tart/acidic, oaky, vinous, mild stone fruit, with a tart, mildly oaky aftertaste. Looks darker than it tastes. Becomes fruitier as it warms. Moderate carbonation, medium-light body, and a dry finish. A tasty, fruity sour ale.

On tap at Avery. Cloudy and brown with a thin head. Smells like a barrel room at a winery. Medium to full bodied with a real nice palate even with the significant sourness. Tasty.

Poured a brown hue with moderate head. Smells incredibly earthy with a bit of ammonia. Tastes a little of cherry before the sourness blows away your palate. Delicious sour, wish I could get this in California.
