Tap @ Avery during GABF week. Pours a bit reddish orange appearance with a white head. Somewhat spicy, a bit bretty, cherry, blueberry fruity flavor. Somewhat oaky, blueberry, lemon citrusy, fairly sour, a bit bretty, spritzy flavor. Maybe my least favorite of the Eremita series. kevinator (2205) - The Colony, Texas, USA - OCT 12, 2012
A nice sour. Nice fruity and floral aroma. It had a dark cider color with no head or lacing. The pucker factor was reduced and made this more drinkable than others on the extreme end of this style. I was able to detect the slight blueberry influence. It had an average palate feel with some weight. Easy to drink with food. gnoff (10358) - Mölndal, SWEDEN - OCT 9, 2012

Cloudy cherrywood color, white head. Acidic, sweet, sour taste. Alcohol and acidic aftertaste. Spritzy mouthfeel, very low bitterness. Tart, acidic, wood scent.
Sampled on tap at the Avery Taproom on 9/28/2012. This wild ale pours a medium ruby red color from the tap. Medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is cereal, tart, fruity and sweet, with some blueberry and a touch of juniper. A medium bodied wild ale. The malts are cereal, fruity and sweet with some blueberry. The hops are herbal. Nicely tart and a touch funky. Good carbonation. The tartness predominates but there is a nice explosion of blueberry flavor at the finish. Nice beer. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is tart. Prufrockstar (2132) - Moscow, Idaho, USA - SEP 20, 2012
On tap at Avery. App: burnt amber orange. 1 finger head, off white, dissipates quick, no lacing, small ring of bubbles at edge. Aroma: sour/tart fruit. Taste: acidic, fruity. Mouthfeel: carbonated, alcohol coating. Sour lingers in a good way. I like.

Draft at the source. Amber-orange with purple hues. Citrus tartness with mild funk and faint blueberry. Flavor is sweet tarts, citrus, dry white wine, light funk, tart blueberries, and some mild wheat malt towards the end. Mildly dry, tart finish. onceblind (9673) - Denver, Colorado, USA - SEP 1, 2012
Opaque dark tangerine colored, like a rustic pumpkin color, with a thin ring of foam around the edge of the glass. The nose is hard to explain but has some gentle sourness, some fruitiness like tart green apple and apricot, and a certain Chardonnay/white wine tone. The flavor is an exceptionally quaffable sour ale with a complex, hard-to-describe taste. I can pick out tones of apple, sour apple, lavender honey, apricot, and slightly sour barrel funk, with a dry effervescent wine finish. craftbeerdesign (2254) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - AUG 31, 2012
