Tasting at Hackney’s Printers Row. Deep amber to light brown pour. This is a typical pumpkin ale but it has a nice full body, heavy cinnamon, some caramel and molasses flavors, and a firm almost metallic bitterness on the finish. Decent enough. anders37 (26625) - Malmö, SWEDEN - OCT 23, 2015

Draft pour at Avery in their upstairs bar area. I only make mention because it is a night and day difference in atmosphere to the downstairs drinking experience. Spoiler alert, the beer is still good upstairs. I absolutely love that Avery will describe a beer like this as sessionable. When I had it it was listed at 7%. But my thoughts of a different beer were thwarted. Pours a dark copper with a thin foam head. Huge pumpkin spice aroma. Flavor has a lot of vegetal notes, and heavy spice, especially in the finish. Lingering smooth flavor finish. Enjoyable pumpkin beer here. Or gourd beer. Whatever it is. Good.
