3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Overly hopped, good malt bill to back it up, but u might as well call this Yeti or sasquatch. since bigfoot has been around for years and this beer is just they’re own version of it
Poured from the bottle a nice medium gold with a decent head that faded quickly into a fine layer with some lacing.
The smell is of sweet carmel but some hoppiness was also present.
The taste is a good mix of malt and hops with the malt being big and bold(lots of caramel) up front and the hops takes over in the middle and dominates the finish to give it a bitterness that I liked. The alcohol is pretty well hidden but at +9%, I don't get that warming feeling that I'm used to in this style.
Overall, it's not the smoothest barleywine style ale I've tried but it's a good one that I'd buy again. MrTipple (5956) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - OCT 8, 2017
Intense tropical fruits, overripe mango, papaya. Hazy, dark brown, small, creamy, beige head. Light bitter. More dank hops, overripe tropical fruits, mango, passion fruit, papaya, mango peel, soft carbonation, full bodied. Very nice. Keg at the brewery, Boulder. Bottle @ home. Slightly unclear dark orange to reddish color, full sized thick dense creamy white to off-white head that lasts for a long time and leaves fair lacing. Aroma is malts, hops, resin and pine. Taste malts, hops, lightly resin, firm pine, piney hops, lightly sticky hops. Malt base, firm pine bitter, bitter, medium body, decent to medium carbonation. Lovely beer, but I'm curious as to why this is a barley wine. I'd call this an Imperial IPA with a firm malt base. Nonetheless, whatever it is, it's a really nice beer! 9-5-9-4-18. Wow! Pours a deep murky copper colour, with a creamy off white head, it has an earthy floral aroma, along with dark fruits, roasted malts and caramel, flavours match starts with sweet caramel, also herbs and spice, rounding out with a smooth bitterness, slick mouthfeel, medium body, soft carbonation, extreamly warming, again, Wow! Classic bears, effortlessly quenching. I could buy three or four sets of these and be set. I don’t quite know what it is about an Imperial Red--this might’ve been the first one I’ve had--but it was exceptional. You get this dark amber hue and you don’t know quite what to expect--and then you drink it, and you’re utterly shocked! What is this? Perhaps I really like red beers, but this has to be the best one I’ve tasted. The cover is also great. Perfect ABV, I hope they keep this beer around.

12 oz. can. Pours an amber color with a slightly off-white cap of foam. Aroma is mostly malt with a little bit of hops and some alcohol. Medium body. Flavor is mostly sweet with some hops in the background. Finish is a little dry with more hops present. Average. jrodooo5 (1703) - DOVER, Delaware, USA - JUL 20, 2017
Beautiful, flavorful, & smooth! Pours orange w/ a fluffy white head & excellent lacing. The aroma is a lovely balance between malt & hop. This is true for the taste as well. The dry earthy hops are presence throughout but the malt compliments them perfectly making this beer quite drinkable. It has a caramel bite with only a medium body making it go down easy. Terrific! balloonbuffoon (525) - - JUN 19, 2017
12floz can, COD: 03.28.2017, paid about $12 for a four-pack, poured and consumed from a pint glass. A good looking beer; amber in color, body has clarity, and there is nice tan head leaving specks behind. The aroma is what goes into it, malts and hops combine to produce a carnival of caramel-apple and cotton candy aromas sprinkled with pine needle dust. Robustly flavored and tense full-bodied texture, which tastes like burnt caramel and pine. Emeister84 (2505) - Charlottesville, Virginia, USA - MAY 23, 2017
