I’ll just go right out and say it. Not enough hops. An IPA isn’t generally my beer-of-choice, but this is nowhere near Dogfish or Two-hearted. It’s still a good drink and very enjoyable though. snowtiger (107) - Brighton, Colorado, USA - APR 7, 2005
Very clear golden-amber color with medium white head. The aroma is dominated by citrus hop notes, with some malty breadiness. The flavor starts out hoppy, bitter, floral, and piney. Just enough malt to back up the hops. Finishes crisp with a pleasant bitterness. SayNoToCoors (65) - Wheat Ridge, Colorado, USA - APR 1, 2005
This one is hard to judge... only because whenever I usually get this brew, it’s on tap...which is far better then the 12 ounce bottle version. On tap the citrus notes seem to really come forward, but in the bottle the hops seem a bit more subdued. Overall this IPA is pretty ho-hum. Nothing special, but i’ve definitely had far worse. Get this one on tap if you can! it’s much better! Quetzalcoatl (153) - Baltimore, Maryland, USA - MAR 31, 2005
Huge fresh hop aroma. Big lacey white head. The flavor is acutely bitter and full of piney hops. Finishes clean and crisp. A fantastic and underrated IPA. ChazyRPh (583) - Chazy, New York, USA - MAR 30, 2005
bottle...Clear golden pour with a medium sized white head. Very nice aroma, Floral hops, citrus. Brazen start, hops come right at you, nice maltiness also. Citrus peel fruitiness/bitterness also evident. Very nicely done, This is a bold hoppy IPA.

Pours a clear, bright copper orange with a thin white head with light whispy lacing. Has a bold, fresh, grapefruity hop aroma with a touch of dry biscuity malt. Starts relatively thick, full and bittersweet with lots of hop presence and decent malty balance. Finishes crisp and lightly sweet with hints of citrus and hop resin. A very enjoyable and drinkable IPA. green (186) - Boston, Massachusetts, USA - MAR 27, 2005
Lightly chilled. Very light copper color. Big Hops aroma on the piney side. Surprising mouthfell much thicker that the color suggests. On the edge of resinous, which, for me, is perfection. Very little malt presence and would almost seem to be an APA if the hops were more citric. One of the most drinkable IPAs I have had and a personal favorite for session-type ales. The aroma was nice w/ orange zest, pine, and grapefruit. The flavor pretty much the same w/ a slight hint of flowers. The beer poured a golden orange color w/ thin head and thin lasting lacing. The mouthfeel was light and creamy. tsarman (794) - Northern, New Jersey, USA - MAR 23, 2005
Delicious IPA. Light on color. Very smooth and easy to drink. The bitterness is there but it is mellow and there is a little bit of sweetness. Great for the style. bombshelter (349) - San Francisco, California, USA - MAR 23, 2005
bottle from brickskeller. huge floral hop aroma. wads of hops in the flavor, and not a whole lot else. I’m not much of an IPA fan when they’re stacked like this one is. The aroma is delightful, however.
