Tap at Cherry Cricket, Denver - 04/06/12.
Amber pour with a small off-white head.
Sweet malts, grain, Belgian yeast and sugar on the nose.
Taste follows, not a huge flavour to this beer, not bland, just not exciting.
Light to medium body, a little thin and watery, moderate carbonation.
Drinkable, just a little dull! mcberko (18082) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - NOV 13, 2010
On tap at Rogue Issaquah Brewhouse, pours hazy yellow. Bland aroma and flavour of grains, subtle Belgian yeast and light fruity characteristics. Decent. Oakes (17831) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAY 23, 2007
Clear, dark golden with a decent head. Aroma of caramel malts, undefined spiciness and anise...they aiming for Kwak? Sweet, somewhat uneventful palate with a little spiciness in the finish. Never was into the whole "Belgian pale" thing. TBone (17699) - Pori, FINLAND - OCT 3, 2005

Hazy nut brown color, decent creamy "yellow" head. Malty, barley and weak hops in the nose. Medium-bodied, a bit sweet malty, pale ale-type even more than Belgium. A shade of sugar in the finish.
UPDATED: MAY 28, 2010 Bottle, at Patricks. A clear dark golden beer topped by a minimal off-wiite head. Sweetish, fruity and slightly vegetal nose. Sugary, tropical fruits too. Medium body with some alcohol. Sugary, tropical fruits and some caramel notes in the flavor. Fruity finish with some vegetables. Notes of caramel. A pretty disappointing one. 100527

The pour is amber in color with a thin off-white head. Spices are the first thing I notice on the aroma. Coriander, clove, and nutmeg are there. A bit of apple and pear, but sort of watery. Some sweet malt and sugar in the background. Mostly spices on the palate, but noticeably watery. A little bit of malt sweetness, some hints of citrus peel, and that’s about it. What’s there is enjoyable, but it’s too watered down. bhensonb (15352) - Woodland, California, USA - JUN 6, 2007
Has the yeast, spice and sweetness of a light Belgian aroma. Singel. Something of a stone fruit undercurrent. Poured clear amber with a humongous frothy white head that laced. A bit thin bodied. Floral hop. Fruity spice. Not as sugary as the dubbels or tripels. Not as alcoholic either. The finish is relatively dry, and it seems to leave hop bitter all over the mouth. Really good approach. UPDATED: NOV 21, 2008 Bottle at Oliver Twist. Cloudy amber - offwhite head. Caramel, sweetness, berries, wheat, orange, fruity, mild flavoured. Not that interesting !! (5/3/5/3/13)....... Bottle. Pours a clear red amber color with a small off white head that dissipates quickly. The aroma is a sweet licorice with fruity undertones. Decent lacing on this one. The taste is a sweet peach with a clean finish and very easy to drink. gunnfryd (14983) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - SEP 7, 2010
