Very cloudy lemon yellow with sticky white lacing. Fresh citrus & passionfruit on the nose. Palate is medium-bodied, crisp & fresh passionfruit, guava & grapefruit. No sweetness here, just fresh fruit on an even palate with a lingering finish. A. Really, really good fruit beer.

Hazy straw - nose of lemongrass, melon, lime, papaya, mango, pineapple - very tropical - very light and tart, border lining on sour with the acidity level - mango and passionfruit are very present, along with lemongrass and lime character - an interesting idea, but a bit overdone with the tartness.

Poured hazy straw yellow with white head, aroma has lots of fruit with notes of the passionfruit, pineapple, some mango and citrus notes, light touch of sour lemon, slight bread notes in there as well. Taste is nice and sweet, easy to drink, notes of tropical fruit with the passionfruit, mango and pineapple being the main tastes, some slightly tart lemon and citrus, touch of drying biscuit finishing clean and dry. Good stuff.

Nice fruit beer. The white belgian base is perfect for this. Nose is pretty much all papaya and the taste pretty much follows suit, with a bit of the citrusy/coriander notes you’d expect, but toned down from the White Rascal (which this probably riffs on). Cloudy light yellow with medium head and good carbonation.

Draft at the tasting room.

Pours a very cloudy and completely opaque pale golden yellow color with hints of golden straw when held to a light. Looks like a Berlinerweisse with a one finger frothy white head that slowly settles into lasting ring. Chunks of lacing left behind.

Slightly earthy, spicy aroma with a bunch of citrus fruit, bready yeast and banana notes. Peppery with lemon zest and coriander/clove as well as a ton of citrus. Lots of lemon peel and the passion fruit really stands out.

Medium bodied and fuller than expected with a decent amount of dry spice up front that lingers over the bready yeast, banana and promient citrus into a slight dry finish. Lots of bready yeast and banana complimenting the strong lemon and passion fruit. This balances the spicy dryness resulting in a complex and very refreshing quaffable beer.

(Draught during GABF week at the brewery) very cloudy pour, lasting head of fine white bubbles. Nose of passion fruit, guava, peach, and very sweet. Taste of peach pulp, passions fruit nectar, wheat, light spices and orange juice. Medium body with a nectar-like consistency. Excellent and taste of real fruit. I had this at about 10am and it was a perfect breakfast beer!

Tap at the brewery. Pours a murky hazed light yellow straw with a thinning white head. Aroma is loaded juicy tropical fruits, mango, passionfruit, kiwi, fruity yeasty esters, some phenolics, wheat, dough, and bubblegum phenol spiciness. Flavor is guava, mealy, wheat, gum, juice, gooseberry, juicy tropical passionfruit, then blood orange and clementine- dry and mineral in the finish. So strange, but still pretty good. Seemed like it was maybe 50% witbier and 50% fruit juice and puree.

on tap at Avery on 9/19/10. hazy yellow pour with a 1/4" white head. passion fruit / citrus nose with some lingering yeast. medium body with lots of passion fruit and a sharp citrus tongue. tart finish with some wheat, yeast and more fruit. very nice fruit beer - enjoyable and refreshing. Would be great at breakfast time!

Tap at Avery. Pours cloudy orange with a small, fizzy white head, high retention with great lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (hay, straw, meal), light hops (citrus), average esters (apple/pear, banana) with notes of coriander and passion fruit. Flavor is average malt (hay, straw, meal), light hops (citrus), average esters (apple/pear), with notes of passion fruit; very fruity. Light body, low warmth and creaminess, medium carbonation, and a dry finish.
