Sampled on tap at the Avery Taproom on 9/28/2012. This Belgian Golden Ale pours a medium orange gold color from the tap. Medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is caramel, fruity, yeasty and sweet. A medium bodied Belgian Golden Ale. The malts are fruity and sweet. A touch of peaches and apricots. The hops are earthy. Nice carbonation. A touch sweet at the finish, but a very drinkable session ale. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet. onceblind (9708) - Denver, Colorado, USA - SEP 1, 2012
Hazy dark golden/light copper with a thin foamy white head. Nose is a little hard to decipher and is kinda light, but I get tones of dried apricot skins and effervescent pale malt tones. Flavor is much the same as the nose; kinda light and ’meh’, with dried fruit-skin tones of apricot and banana, with a malty backbone of pale cereal tones with some dry and very mild bitterness. Quite middle-of-the-road.
