On tap the brewery. Pour is hazy amber with a fluffy tan head and great lacing. Caramel, coconut, somewhat floral, citrus, coconut, woody, and dark fruits in the aroma. Taste is coconut, vanilla, toffee, caramel, light brown sugar, spice, somewhat fruity, and sweet honey. Light body with high carbonation. Tap @ Avery during GABF week. Pours a bit brownish, dark orange appearance with a cream colored head. Pretty spicy, moderate whiskey, caramel, earthy, lightly oaky nose. Pour on tap at the brewery, dark orange pour with thin white head, aroma brought notes of big sweet caramel, toffee, and molasses, hints of whiskey, earth, and slight oak, touch of fruity notes in there as well, booze comes through as well. Taste is a mix of sweet caramel, toffee, vanilla, whiskey, touch of earth, oak, finishing fairly sweet, some nice fruity notes at the end as well. Pretty nice. Sampled at the first brewvival festival. Pours a hazy orange. Syrupy sweet nose. And the flavor is even sweeter. I could never drink more than a few ounces of this stuff. Honey notes are huge. Definitely walks the barleywine line. But hides the abv okay.

Dark amber in color, clear with a thin head. Lots of barrel aging flavors, Bourbon, oak and big malt flavors. This was a tasty beer. This had a sneaking presence for the alcohol.

On tap at the Charleston Brewvival on 02/27/2010. Cloudy orange amber body with a small off-white head. Big floral and yeasty aroma. Big oak and yeast flavor. Full body with moderate carbonation.

full pour at dlday 2010... pours a semi-clear caramel brown with a creamy off-white head... aroma of butter, caramel, and boozy barrel... buttery sweet and boozy flavors with a smooth and creamy body. overly barreled is the impression that i get. these notes suck.
