COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A traditional black porter, with a surprise twist - it's dry-hopped!! We've expanded the porter category a bit, adding a delightful, dry hop aroma to blend with the sweet caramel and chocolate characteristics of a Robust Porter.

Dark brown color. Aroma of chocolate and vanilla. The flavor is based on caramel, with a hint of roasted malt and liquorice and coffee. A bit dry and not mature.

Dark amber color, offwhite/brownish head. Chocolate aroma, hops, mint notes, some caramel and toffee. Chocolate flavor, hoppy bitterness, cocoa, roasted and with some smoked notes. Licorice finish with some hops and viol.

TBone (17437) - Pori, FINLAND - JUL 2, 2006
Bottled. Dark brown color, small tan head. Crisp, a bit citric nose. Roasted, cold coffee flavor, medium-bodied. Quite tasty coffeish porter. Not too thin as it has some body to back up.

Oakes (17274) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - DEC 7, 2003
Dark burgundy colour. Robust aroma is hoppy, with chocolate and toast. I spend a lot of time sniffing this with my pen on the table, just because I wanted to enjoy it rather than analyze it. Toasty, nutty, complex porter with solid bitterness. Delicious.

12 oz. bottle, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma of dry hops, roasted malt and molasses. Surprisingly complex flavour of prominent hops (much more so for a porter), roasted malt, sweet caramel, molasses and coffee. Very good.

yngwie (17038) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - JUL 2, 2007
Bottle at Københavnske Øldage. Dark brown, clear-looking beer with a small, tan head. Sweet, chocolatey nose with some coffee and fruits. Sweet and chocolatey flavor as well, a little roasted, and lightly fruity. Mellow, silky mouthfeel. Very nice balanced and quaffable beer, but I would prefer it a bit heavier and bigger. (070512)

Dedollewaitor (16055) - Odense, DENMARK - MAY 6, 2007
Dark brown nearly black with brown creamy head. Roasted coffee and caramel malty. Smooth filling body. Slight sweet before a dry bitter end. All around quite simple but very drinkable/pleasant!

FatPhil (15963) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - MAY 17, 2008
355ml bottle (Pikkulintu, Helsinki, Bitter and Sour 2008)
Very dark, red glints, almost black; brief beige head. Very milky malty aroma. Anna says it’s just like a malted milk drink she had as a kid. Thick sticky mouthfeel - full of burnt starches - tons of heavily roasted malt, feels like it leaves dust on my tongue.
