COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A traditional black porter, with a surprise twist - it's dry-hopped!! We've expanded the porter category a bit, adding a delightful, dry hop aroma to blend with the sweet caramel and chocolate characteristics of a Robust Porter.

Deep black porter with nice chocoalate moka aroma. Sweet chocolate, with Bailey's cream and vinous mouth feel, with alcool warmth. Body is quite good and intense!

12 ounce bottle from Total Wine Richmond, VA. Pours a deep black color with a creamy, frothy brown head. Decent head retention and lacing. Black with a mid sized, disappearing off-white head. Chocolate and coffee aromas mix with floral hops. Has a distinct roast bitterness, but with a rich and soft body. Long lasting roast aftertaste

Roast and pear in both aroma and flavor. Medium bodied. Licorice. Decent and fairly tasty, but not special by any means.

Bottle. Pours black with a large, creamy, brown head, mostly lasting with excellent lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (chocolate, toffee, nutty), average hops (flowers, grass), average yeast (leather, broth) with notes of dates, plums, and charcoal. Full bodied, sticky texture, lively carbonation, and a chalky finish. Long duration, light sweetness, moderate acidity and bitterness.

Not as good as Fuller’s but still a great Porter. Pours a very dark brown/black with a thick light brown head. Thin, spidery lacing throughout. The aroma is roasty with hops and cocoa. Medium-bodied with a nice blend of roasted malt, chocolate and coffee flavors. The finish is roasty and lightly hopped and lasting. I liked this one.

crossovert (12927) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAR 12, 2014
355ml bottle. The description up here is humorous. Dark pour, crea smell is nice, almost strictly burnt roasted malts with a nice caramel, coffee, cocoa, and hop backing. The flavor is nice, lots of peat and cocoa, coffee, hints of melon which is strange but nto upsetting, sharp and dry, nicely robust. Decent porter.

thewolf (12594) - Kolding, DENMARK - MAR 31, 2007
Bottle. 33 cl. Pours almost black with only slight red edges. Small off white head that stays. Aroma is quite hoppy on a base of roasted and chocolate maltyness. Dry at first, then you feel quite a lot of baby bubbles. The dryness comtinues, gaining more flowery bitterness, chocolate and a touch of roasted.
