Pour on tap at the brewery, dark brownish black pour with tan head, aroma brought notes of roast, dark cocoa, slight booze, earth, hints of coffee, very slight hint of a nutty note but probably ony because I was looking for it. Taste was a mix of dark fruit, cocoa, roast, and coffee, slight caramel, toffee like notes, hints of spice, finishing with a hint of a nut. Ratman197 (15094) - Arvada, Colorado, USA - FEB 11, 2014

Tap at Avery. Pours black with tan head, settles quickly with thin lacing. Aroma is dark, roasted malt, chocolate, caramelized sugar, strong fruity, date and plum, fairly sweet. Flavor is chocolate, roasted malt, raw peanuts with a chocolate and dark, roasted finish. Might be good after some barrel aging. Soft carbonation, smooth texture, medium to full body.
