Draft @ Falling Rock: My favorite of the BA Trinity series. Hazy golden color. Great aroma of white wine, caramel and some light yeasty funk. A little sweaty. Nice balance of malt, fruitiness and chardonnay. Lightly tart. Warming with a medium body. Walt (2449) - Austin, Texas, USA - OCT 15, 2006
Pour is clearish golden with a thin white head...smell is strong with yeast and wood and something very sour...taste is warm and chewy with lots of delicious sweet malts with a nice tart finish...this is amazing compared to its base... hopscotch (11236) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - OCT 10, 2006
Draft... Mid-GABF ’06 at the Falling Rock Tap House, Denver... Mostly clear golden ale with a small, frothy, off-white head. The aroma is malty, spicy and fruity with all the usual suspects regarding tripel esters and phenols. Only now the nose is a bit more vinous and woodsy with a hint of vanilla. Moderately tart, moderately bitter, fruity, spicy flavor. Full-bodied and creamy with lively carbonation. Finishes watery and vinous. BrockLanders (780) - Panama City, Florida, USA - OCT 2, 2006
On tap at the Falling Rock. Light golden brownish pour..again, a small off-white head. Light malt aroma with some faint hop notes...some wood hanging around too. Flavor is light sweet malts, vinous qualities emerge. Medium-bodied, slightly acidic in the end. Not my favorite of the so-called "crucified trinity". tjthresh (1872) - Greenfield, Indiana, USA - OCT 1, 2006
On tap at the Falling Rock. Golden with a white head. Very light aroma of oak and wine. The flavor is all chardonnay. Very dry. Not really all that good.

Sampled at 4th Boulder Strong Ale Fest. The beer poured a hazy light brown with a small, frothy, white, mostly diminishing head.Murphy (1759) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - APR 16, 2006
The aroma was malty with light notes of toasted bread, cookie and caramel; hoppy with light note of herb; yeasty with a light note of basement; moderate note of cardboard and a light note of vanilla.
The flavor was lightly sweet, moderately acidic and moderately bitter with an average-length, moderately sweet, unclean, oxidized finish. (The net was kind of like the flavor of fruit juice added to beer.)
The body was light, the texture was watery and the carbonation was lively.
Boulder Strong Ale Fest, 2006. Thin head, murky off orange body. Dry cherry aroma, a little alcohol. Taste is very fruity, slightly oxidized. Mild bitter hops, alcohol well masked. Light vinous flavors. Clean finish besides oxidation. Ratman197 (15368) - Arvada, Colorado, USA - APR 9, 2006
On tap @ Boulder Strong Ale Fest poured a cloudy gold with a small white head. Aromas of fruit, oak, vanilla, spice and carmel. Palate was light bodied. Flavors of oak, fruitiness, vanilla, spice and some vinous notes with a dry finish jcwattsrugger (12524) - Florida and, New Jersey, USA - SEP 23, 2005
Salvation on oak-on tap-pours a light tan head that’s rich and thick. Color is a cloudy orange. Taste is spiced and syrupy. osmg95 (44) - Ohio, USA - MAY 7, 2005
Aroma is noted with apricots and peach. Didn’t pour a particulary nice head. Flavor is quite sweet and fruity. Good hints of peppery yeast but plesantly balanced. A bit thin on the palate but pleasing. A good punch of alcohol finish.
