COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our winter ale has a gorgeous mahogany hue, a hint of hazelnuts, and a finish reminiscent of mocha and toffee. No spices, just a perfect blend of five specialty malts. Cellarable for 3+ years.

Deep reddish-brown color with a decent off-white head that leaves a good lacing in my glass, fruity and malty aromas. Smooth nutty and chocolate flavors, full bodied with mild carbonation, full creamy and smooth mouthfeel, finishes kind of dry, alcohol well hidden until it warms, a solid winter ale.

Reddish Brown with a tan head. Aroma is like over roasted coffee. Flavor is burnt and toasty with a bitter finish.

Figures, this bottle has to be last years. Clear dark red, light brown. Lovely, tight beaded, khaki head. Tons of lace. Oxidized malty aroma:nuts, toffee, dark bread. Mouthfeel is very creamy, with soft carbonation. Slick nutty, chocolate, toasty malt flavors. Very clean, and lingering flavors. Finish is also malty, with lots of toffee, and toasty notes. Just the slightest hint of hops. Damn,I thought I wasn't going to be able to rate this when I smelled it,but luckily the flavor didn't suffer at all. Can't wait to get a fresh bottle. Good beer.

This beer poured a brownish red color with a spotty tall head and left a little lacing on the glass. The aroma was very malty and had a fruity smell as well, but I can't pinpoint what fruits. The flavor was big on malts with some citrus notes. Very easy to drink and a nice full bodied beer.

Bottle. Dark black with decent bubbly tan head. Nutty and malty aroma. Nice lacing. Mostly malty with light hops and chocolate. Bourbon and wood alcohol finish. Very warming, indeed. A really good English Strong Ale.

Reddish mahogany, relatively clear appearance, moderate head formation. Malty aroma, caramel and roasty. Sweet nutty malt flavor, some chocolate, decent hop citiric bitterness in the finish.

Nice body and beautiful color (dark red). Nice bittering hops, too, if you like that sort of thing. First thing that came to my mind was a dark IPA, which is sort of an oxymoron. Good stuff but certainly not the best beer in their line up.

Clear dark mahogany body topped by a mostly frothy (some creaminess) light tan head. Big whiff of caramel and loads of hops. The flavor is huge roasted malt and toffe with tons of spicy bitter hops. Very nice! Full bodied. The finish is surprisingly dry given the big body, the finish is long and very pleasing. A very nice brew.

Dark ruby mahogany color with off-white creamy head and lacing in sheets of the same color. The aroma is moderately hoppy, spicy (pine) and sweet with caramel malt. The flavor is moderately bitter but well balanced by the underlaying sweetness and the abnormally high final gravity in these winter beers. Finishes dry and spicy but ends quick. A good winter seasonal from another unattainable Colorado brewer.
