Bottled. Deep copper in color, with a dense, beige head. It has a sweet aroma with some alcohol, malt and a good dash of hops. The flavor is malty and sweet, with lots of piny and fruity hops in it, some alcohol too. Fullbodied, very bitter, hoppy beer, with a lightly roasted note and some alcohol in the finish. Hop-heaven in a bottle. (060513) jtclockwork (16603) - , New Jersey, USA - MAY 9, 2010

Sweet and beerlike. Malty with vegetable tinge. Sticky malt/hop combo, not very sophisticated.

Looks great, dark creamy head on dark red body. Smells sweet and sticky, some dried fruits maybe. I was unprepared for the taste - it’s huge. Very unsophisticated, and unbalanced. Even the unsubtle explosion of malt and hop tastes fails to cover the strong alcohol taste. Yet another US charicature of a UK style not done very well. Didn’t leave any though, so not that bad.
355ml can - thanks martjoobolut (6:3:5:3:10=2.7)
Eww, sweet. Almost lagery malty taste. sweet, and alcoholic, pretty faily.
Bottle at EBF08. Good caramelly hop aroma. Clear dark chestnut colour. Small head. The flavour is caramelly, OK spicy hoppiness.

Aroma of toffee and nut. Beautiful garnet color with an off-white head that laced while collapsing. Thin to medium body with mild carbonation. The flavor is dark caramel with bread and citrus. The flavor is fairly dry considering the maltiness, with mild bitter and hints of coffee. Very tasty. Theis (15152) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - SEP 15, 2006
Bottle. Clear deep reddish/brown - offwhite head. Malty, roasted, sweet, ryebread, nuts, caramel, hoppy, complex. gunnfryd (14899) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - MAY 21, 2006

Bottle poured mahogany with an amber head. Aromas of dark fruit with some vinous notes. Flavors of roasted malt, dark fruit ,a hint of coffee, With a mildly bitter finish. Scopey (14778) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAR 1, 2011
On tap at the Meddlesome Moth, Dallas. It pours a deep ruby-brown colour with small foamy beige head. The nose is fairly subtle - red berries, nuts and caramel. The taste is date, raisin, plum, leather, oak, liquorice, nuts, varnish, a little honey and some lemon sherbet with an astringent-bitter finish. The overall taste is quite dry and bit too savoury, making it quite difficult to finish.
