COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our winter ale has a gorgeous mahogany hue, a hint of hazelnuts, and a finish reminiscent of mocha and toffee. No spices, just a perfect blend of five specialty malts. Cellarable for 3+ years.

Well. The shelf tag @ Archer would have me believe that this is an 07 batch of Jubilation. Not quite sure. Wish I would have saved it for a night my palate was a little cleaner, but here goes. [A] Caramel. Chocolate. Toffee. Fig. Raisin. Dark fruit. Ripe. Almost wine ish. Grape or cranberry juice quality. English barleywine-esque. No hops really present, though a nice nose. Likeable in my book. [A] Shotgun blast and huge huge chunky bubbly brown head. Caramel brown to light. Active. Will not even allow a pour. Donít think this is 07. Dark ruddy brown liquid. [F] Initially dark fruit. Caramel and a very large chocolate note. Mostly fruity. Nice intricacy and balance. Licorice. Maltiness. [P] Very watery. No hops. Flat mouth. With more dark fruit and chocolate. Reminiscent of certain barleywines and foreign stouts. Not especially a bad thing for this ale. But it doesnít help. [O] I somewhat liked this after some IPA. Lord only knows if its 07. Not sure if I would buy a 6er either way. One was more than enough. Avery is one of my favorite brewers, and this receives a fair score, but I cannot totally agree with it tonight.

12floz can, COD: 10.20.2016, $1.50 and poured into a pint glass. I got a lot of sediment from the pour and little foam. Many particles are held in suspension, and at the bottom of auburn-brown body. Aroma and palate intertwine that is simply characteristic of toffee. Itís pretty good.

alteregoo (1398) - Kalisz, POLAND - MAY 9, 2017
Piana nieduża, szybko opada do firanki. Barwa mocnej herbaty, opalizująca. W zapachu karmel zahaczający o toffi, melasa, orzechy laskowe.

Nieskomplikowane i całkiem przyjemne.

Poured from a 12 OZ can into a pint glass at Taco Mac in Atlanta. The appearance is a reddish brown color with a small tan colored head. The aroma is almost all malt with some nuttiness. The taste is malt with some molasses and some earthy notes.

dysenteri (321) - Gothenburg, SWEDEN - MAR 28, 2017
Can. Mahogny red/brown with white head. Aroma of alcohol, cookies, toffe, nuts, earthy, malts. Medium sweet, medium bitter. A bit sticky mouthfeel, a bit too much alcohol feeling

ciocanelu (2466) - Timisoara, ROMANIA - MAR 21, 2017
Clear mahogany color with a tan film that reduces to a ring. Aroma has dark, caramel malt, dried fruits, mostly raisins. Taste follows with the caramel malt and brown sugar, light earthy bitterness on the finish. Light body and carbonation. Overall itís a decent but really simple old/english strong ale.

TeijoA (66) - Turku, FINLAND - MAR 21, 2017
33 cl can. Malty Christmas dark fruit kissel type of aroma. Taste puts the smell to shame though, quite full body with nice hoppiness, taste of licorice, chocolate, also dark fruits and sweetness reminiscent of the aroma in the finish. Positive surprise.
