On tap @ Avery. Very dark brown with nice ruby highlights under a beige foamy head. Amazing aroma of freshly roasted coffee, light chocolaty tones with a subtle but present leafy, almost piney hops--but is predominately roasted coffee. What a great smell. Taste is just as pleasant. Nice leafy dry hoppiness with a faint citrus kick. Backed up with delightful chocolate coffee malts. Medium-full body. Actually kinda balanced like a very malty Black IPA. more sweet than bitter, delightful to drink and pleasantly hopped. blipp (9691) - La Mesa, California, USA - NOV 4, 2011
