Pouring at EBF 2017. Pours a clear brown with a thin tan head. Wood, a hint of acetic acid. Raspberries. Medium bodied, soft acid, fruit, tart and tangy with wood on the finish.

A relatively dark brown beer, which was unexpected. Deep, complex sour notes, a hint of raspberry - not nearly so much as one would expect - and a tannic, dry finish. Very good.

Exactly what I needed on this slightly hot day here in San Diego. Big fan of the sours recently, it Avery never disappoints. Great balance between sweet and sour. Good brew. 22oz bottle.

Pours a tinted burgundy, minimal head. Aroma is woody raspberry, a barnyard funk. Nice tart pop to this guy! Raspberry really shines, but also some apple, hay, wood and caramel notes. Very enjoyable!

Solid fruited dark sour. Pretty red brown pour. Extremely tart, fresh raspberry providing some sweetness, a touch of barrel woodiness. Excellent.

Avery’s recent Sour releases have been spectacular. I wasn’t surprised by how tasty Raspberry Sour was, but I was surprised by how unique it was. Dark red pour. Acidic and syrupy raspberry on the nose. Raspberry puree, caramel, and vanilla-oak flavors. You feel some of the bright acidity, but the actual tartness is extremely subtle. Hell, this tastes a bit like a raspberry sundae. This bottle did have quite a bit of age, so I don’t know how it would compare to a fresh release. As it was, this is one of the most approachable Sours I’ve ever tasted.

Bottle bought in San Diego in February 2017. Dark amner with a small head. Aroma and taste of raspberries, some oak and funk. Quite soft and easy to drink. A pleasant summer beer.

Deep amber color with a fine pink head. Solid laceing. Looks ok. Fine intensity in the aroma. Medium + body and a fine carbonation level. Pleasant acidity level. Raspberries, caramel and oak in the flavor. Nice and refreshing.
[On tap at Akkurat in Stockholm, Sweden]

@ Akkurat 17-6-12: riktigt trevlig med stor ton av hallon samt en balanserad syrlighet. Inte värst och inte bäst men ej heller sämst.
