Bottle. Nice big head with good duration. Color is dark amber. Aroma is thick and powerfull with lots of hops. Taste is dominated by cascade! Oakes (18199) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUN 21, 2008
Reddish-amber colour with a slight haze. Crystal malt, brown sugar, orange and wood on the nose. Sweet, with a slight turbinado and tea accent. Bitterness in the low 20s, with a slight woodines and very light apricot fruitiness. Yeah, it’s an American red all right. TBone (17783) - Pori, FINLAND - JUL 2, 2006
Reddish copper brown, small off-white head. Bready, malty aroma. Carbonated sweetish malty and backed with "typical" "Avery hops" (Cascade it is). Very refreshing and very American. yngwie (17102) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - OCT 11, 2006
Bottled. A bit unclear, amber beer with an off-white head. Fruity and piney aroma with a rich maltyness with some beefstock notes and hops. Hops, malt, sweetness, pinecones and some citrus in the flavor. Full-bodied and sugary mouthfeel. Long piney finish. A bit on the hoppy side, could use a bit more balance. Bottle. Pours reddish brown with tan head. Semi clear. Nose of cascade hops and huge malt character. Taste is very malty, with cascade hops and some light spruce maple.

355ml bottle (Pikkulintu, Helsinki , American Week 2007).
Wonderful rounded malty brown aroma. Tastewise it’s a bit of an enigma - a strange combination of maltiness and hoppiness with some fruitiness too, and at the very end some rose petals. A bit of an uncoordinated mishmash to sell itself well. Dedollewaitor (16232) - Odense, DENMARK - MAY 2, 2007
Hazy amber orangw with lasting white head. malty sweet and nice hoppiness. Good lacings. Caramel flavor and full body! Nice! MiP (15943) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - JUN 29, 2006
Bottle. Nice bonbon hoppiness to aroma. Clear grey chestnut colour, no head. Good malty bonbon flavour with OK bitterness. Bice and well-balanced. bhensonb (15492) - Woodland, California, USA - FEB 7, 2007
Strange (to me) raisiny malt aroma. Cloudy amber color. Head went fast. It’s malty, it thins quickly, and the hop does not have much presence. There is a grapefruit presence, but it is not all that bitter. Somehow I don’t find this all that attractive. It improves with more sips and time, but .... Bottle at home. Red, brown colour. Malty and hoppy smell. At first i got a very hoppy smell and taste, both flowery and bitter taste, but later the fruit, caramel malts showed them self. A lovely pleasant Red Ale. But still, it has a bitter finish.
