COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Some beer lovers enjoy a rich, malty brew, while others go more for hoppy beers. Our brewmaster likes both - as evidenced by this rich and caramelly amber ale with the distinct flavor and bouquet of Cascade hops. Reaching the perfect balance of crystal malt sweetness and hop bitterness took plenty of time and effort, making Redpoint the perfect beer for toasting your most recent success.

Bottle poured a reddish amber with a tan head. Aroma was grassy, citrus and toffee. Flavors of bread, and a bit of toffee with a dry mildly bitter finish.

gunnfryd (15265) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - OCT 22, 2006
Bottle. Brown colour with a beige head. Aroma is fruity, hop. Flavour is hop, fruit, sweet, pine. The beer needs more balance. Bitter finish.

Theis (15151) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - JUN 3, 2006
Bottle at home. Red, brown colour. Malty and hoppy smell. At first i got a very hoppy smell and taste, both flowery and bitter taste, but later the fruit, caramel malts showed them self. A lovely pleasant Red Ale. But still, it has a bitter finish.

Tmoney99 (14952) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - JUN 9, 2005
Poured a clear copper hue with average off-white head. Medium sweet aroma and flavor with grapefruit tone. Medium body with small acid finish. Enjoyable brew.

argo0 (14127) - Washington DC, USA - NOV 25, 2004
Clear copper body with medium beige head. Aroma is medium sweet, grapefruit, caramel, some cookie, floral. Taste is medium sweet, grapefruit, some caramel, light toffee. Medium body, light resin, light acidity. Might as well consider this an APA given its hop character. Enjoyable everyday sort of beer.

3.7
Christian (13814) - Odense, DENMARK - FEB 2, 2007
Slightly cloudy red amber, with medium lasting off-white head. Rich fruity aroma. Sweet and full bodied, with little hop character.

3.3
BeerandBlues2 (13810) - Escondido, California, USA - NOV 7, 2007

Aroma is average malt (bread, cereal, nutty), average hops (flowers, herbs), average yeast (sweat, dough) with notes of meat and cola. Medium bodied, gritty texture, average carbonation, and a metallic finish. Average duration, light sweetness, moderate acidity and bitterness.

3.6
Dogbrick (13751) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - AUG 14, 2005
Dark but radiant amber color with a medium thick light beige head and thick lacing. Aroma of hops, ash and malt. Medium-bodied and quite bitter all around. Lots of hops but with a nice caramel malt underbelly. The finish is bitter at first but sweetens. One of the better Amber ales I have had in awhile.

3.4
bu11zeye (13215) - Frisco (Dallas), Texas, USA - JAN 31, 2009

Poured a dark amber (almost copper) color with an averaged sized off white head. Aromas of mainly caramel with some citrus in the background. Tastes of caramel and light grapefruit. Starts of sweet and ends on a nice bitter note. Decently balanced amber ale.
