(Draught at Avery - GABF) opaque ruddy brown with dark tan lasting head. Nose of pumpkin, brown sugar, rum, cinnamon and nutmeg. Taste of rum, pumpkin, cinnamon and brown sugar. Dark amber in color, clear with a thin head. Rum aroma and flavoring. The rum was subtle yet enough for a nice warming affect. Oak from the barrels also came out. A well balanced brew.
Cask at J. Clyde Birmingham AL. Black tan head. Nose is very rummy, alcoholic. Taste is huge German malts and very sweet. Strong and upfront.

Draught at Avery. Dark brown with nice tan head. Big roasty molasses syrup with fruit hop background, light-medium smoke. Taste is med roasted darker malts and fruitier profile than expected. Tap at Avery. Pours clear dark brown with a medium, frothy tan head, lasting with good lacing. Aroma is malt (toasted grain, caramel, toffee), light hops, slightly smoked meat, and dark fruits (plum, raisin, prune). Flavor is acidic dark fruits, with oak and rum; malt focused. On tap at Avery poured a clear dark reddish brown with a lasting creamy tan head. Aromas of rum, oak, molasses, dark fruit and light smoke. Palate was medium bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of rum, smoke, oak, molasses, light dark fruit and a hint of vanilla with a smooth dry lingering molasses finish.
