Bottle, after a few draft samples last month. Pours translucent ruby chestnut, topped with a thin off white head. Beautiful aroma; the barrel characteristics predominate, with plenty of rum and lots of wood, with notes of vanilla, spice, and pumpkin in the background. Brown sugar and spice hit the palate for an instant, and are quickly overcome by rum. Intense finish, with lots of alcohol and dark fruit. I love the aroma, but the flavor doesnt measure up.

An intense beer. There not getting around the effects of the alcohol, but it doesnt feel all that boozy. Very rich, deep pumpkin, spicy flavor. Barrel aged richness.

Appearance: Rich copper brown. Mostly clear. Almost no head. Nose: Rich caramel, rum notes. tones of oak and pumpkin. Hint of spice. Taste: Boozy and huge rum alcohol hit. Notes of pumpkin and spice line up well with the alcohol Body: Medium to fuller. Parting thoughts: My second Rum barrel Pumpkin of the season. Far superior to the first. everything blended together very well.
