Hazy dark brown with a small mocha head.
Soft coffee aroma, with noticeable rum, date honey and some wood.
Sweet dark fruits flavor (dates) and dark caramel notes.

Tap @ Avery during GABF week. Pours a dark brown/black appearance with a light brown head. Somewhat spicy, rum, a touch oaky, chocolate aroma. On tap at Avery poured a clear dark reddish brown with a small lasting tan head. Aromas of roasted malt, bitter chocolate and light rum. Pour on tap at the brewery, dark brownish black pour with tan head, aroma brought notes of rum, hints of chocolate, earth, caramel, and toffee, hints of slight mineral. Taste is nice, slight rum, mixing into chocolate, cocoa powder, hints of vanilla, caramel, roasted notes, finishing fairly bitter and dry. Wish more of the rum came out, but it is pretty well made.
