Tap. Pours hazy amber with a medium-small white head, short retention with faint lacing. Aroma is heavy cookie and caramel malt, brown sugar, vanilla and bourbon, grapes, sour notes, and oak. On tap at Falling Rock during GABF weekend- Friday. Pours a dark red color with a medium white head. The nose was dominated by a blue cheese note, some funkiness and grapes. I actually didn’t get a ton of bourbon in this beer, more funky sweet vanilla and cheese, some caramel, fruity flavors akin to grapes and berries. Draft at Avery, pours a murky amber with white head. Nose has some sour grapey quality, dough. Flavors are muddled, toffee,

UPDATED: FEB 13, 2012 Tap @ Avery. Brown appearance with a tan head. Interesting aroma- grapes, white wine, brown sugar, caramel, and some toasty malts. The flavor is really incredibly- sweet caramel malty, brown sugar, candy sugar along with the white wine, grape, dry flavors. There’s a real nice Bourbon flavor to the beer and overall, quite effervescent. I’m pleasantly surprised by this strange sounding concoction.
