Draft... Mid-GABF ’06 at the Falling Rock Tap House, Denver... Mostly clear golden ale with a small, frothy, off-white head. The aroma is malty, spicy and fruity with all the usual suspects regarding tripel esters and phenols. Only now the nose is a bit more vinous and woodsy with a hint of vanilla. On tap at the Falling Rock. Light golden brownish pour..again, a small off-white head. Light malt aroma with some faint hop notes...some wood hanging around too. Flavor is light sweet malts, vinous qualities emerge. Medium-bodied, slightly acidic in the end. On tap at the Falling Rock. Golden with a white head. Very light aroma of oak and wine. The flavor is all chardonnay. Very dry. Not really all that good.

The aroma was malty with light notes of toasted bread, cookie and caramel; hoppy with light note of herb; yeasty with a light note of basement; moderate note of cardboard and a light note of vanilla.
The flavor was lightly sweet, moderately acidic and moderately bitter with an average-length, moderately sweet, unclean, oxidized finish. (The net was kind of like the flavor of fruit juice added to beer.)
The body was light, the texture was watery and the carbonation was lively.

On tap @ Boulder Strong Ale Fest poured a cloudy gold with a small white head. Aromas of fruit, oak,vanilla, spice and carmel. Palate was light bodied. Aroma is noted with apricots and peach. Didn’t pour a particulary nice head. Flavor is quite sweet and fruity. Good hints of peppery yeast but plesantly balanced. A bit thin on the palate but pleasing. A good punch of alcohol finish.
