Deep gold pour, decent white head, not much lace. Malt, soft fruit, and alcohol on the nose. Bittersweet. Middle is vanilla, apricot and medium roasted malt. Finish is dry and a little boozy. Diablokev (180) - Lakewood, Colorado, USA - JAN 1, 2015
The aroma is slight chocolate or of vegetables. The appearance is a murky gold with a thin white head. The taste is slight and sweet after taste. Could have been better, but still overall nice. andrewje41 (3767) - Kenmore, Washington, USA - DEC 15, 2014
22 Oz bottle pour at Brouwers. 2007 vintage. Pours a semi cloudy golden orange color with a sweet and spicy apple juice/cider aroma. Sweet and spice flavor as well, with a mellow malt, fruit, and a smooth finish. Awesome stuff. gschrade (1084) - Collinsville, Illinois, USA - DEC 15, 2014
I had this at Global Brew. Pours good with a off white head. Taste Belgian yeast, sweet, apricots. I thought this was ok. I would not drink this again.

bottle @ Party Town / Florence KY --- Cloudy dark amber, frothy beige head cover, swirls of lace. Taste is slightly bittered caramel malt that moves through the palate without incident to a finish that continues the status quo for a long while. Strong, and some alcohol shows as the taste fades, but, still seems one-note. Doesn’t earn the 9% abv.

Nice amber/orange color; Medium creamy body; Aroma of yeast, fruit, floral, some clove, & citrus; Flavor of sweet malt, yeast, chewy caramel, molasses, fruit, and spice; Some alcohol at the finish; Slightly cloying - but pretty decent. drsordr (2635) - Loveland, Ohio, USA - DEC 5, 2014
Draft sample pour hazy avg gold. Nose Belgian candy, spice, Belgian yeast, slight bubble gum. Taste similar to nose with more gum. Very sweet character. Late palate some clove and nutmeg. Light spicy bitter finish. Thick mouth feel Mep3222 (1544) - East Greenbush, New York, USA - NOV 30, 2014
Banana nutty aroma with some candied sugar. Taste is malty and slightly sweet with some noticeable hops. Almost has a slight barley wine aspect to this strong Belgian golden. Full flavored and strong. Well done beer by avery, but a bit sweeter than I tend to like.

Aroma is east mall to hop and a little spice. Appearance has a small but long-lasting off-white head, some lacing and a slightly hazy orange amber color. Flavor is like aroma plus has some malt and fruit sweetness with plenty of hop bitterness but there are some medicinal qualities to the aftertaste. Body is good with just a touch softness. Overall it's pretty good beer except for that medicinal thing.

22 oz bottle likely from 2010.
Aroma has a light graininess with moderate Belgian phenolics, mostly white pepper and coriander. Some overripe stone fruit and apple with moderate honey and a touch of cardboard. Light hints of alcohol and grassy hops.
Pours a rather cloudy, murky brownish orange with a moderately sized, fairly thick white head with good retention. Light lacing and moderate legs.
Flavor has a light sweetness with a faint grain character. Light phenolic notes of pepper and grains of paradise with medium light overripe stone fruit, mostly peach with some pear and apple notes. Light grassy hop notes with light alcohol spice. Moderate honey character and the finish has bits of cardboard and wet paper. Medium light bitterness.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth.
Overall, an alright beer that has done well with the age. The phenolics and fruitiness are still present but the hops have turned weird and the oxidation is starting to take over.
