Poured from 22oz bottle a clear light gold with a very large head of foam that shrank slowly leaving a fine solid layer and there's plenty of lacing.
The smell is fruity and yeasty...about right for the style.
The taste has some tartness that I noticed immediately with notes of semi sweet malt, hop bitterness, and yeast. A few more sips in and I'm getting some banana and clove but they're pretty sudued. The warming from the alcohol is there but not in abundance so that helps it to be pretty drinkable.
Bottom line: This is a pretty good offering of the style from Avery and is at least worth trying.

640mL bottle from Carwyn Cellars, Melbourne.
Pours a bright orange body, hazy, firm white head atop.
Aroma quite fruity - orange, apricot, peach, toasty/bread crust malt, some spice in there.
Big body, smooth texture, carbonation perhaps subdued for style but welcomed, good length.
Toasty, cereally malts upfront on the body - leads onto notes of ripe apricot & yellow peach, savoury clovey/woody phenolic spice, finishes dry.
Little indication of booze in this one, a nice drink, lacking a bit behind more authentic styles. Inbreak (6408) - Loddefjord, NORWAY - JUN 16, 2017

Big fizzy-creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly sweet floral, weeds, leafs, sap, minerals, yeast, grass, flowers, candi sugar, alcohol, old moss. Taste is slightly dry boozy, weeds, hay, alcohol, minerals, flowers, old leafs, grass, bark, paper, sawdust. Medium to longlasting bitterness, harsh mineraly mouthfeel. Boring.

Light gold color. Medium carbonation. Lots of malt aroma with some noble-like hops in there, clear notes of cookies and nuts. Clear alcohol aroma. Tastes quite dry and bitter, much more so than suggested by the smell. Lots of spicy phenols and hops. Quite good. MadIndian (2743) - Levittown, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 13, 2016
On draft at Isaacs. Sampled with Junior. Nice notes of Apricot, sugar, bread and spice. The blend was really nice. Enteogenisk (162) - Bålsta, SWEDEN - JUL 11, 2016
Bottle in wine glass. Pours beautifully in a hazy yellow with a half-finger thick head. Aroma is dense with a classic Belgian fasette with a taste that is more like a triple than golden ale. Superb brew regardless. markextrae (4460) - Alingsås, SWEDEN, SWEDEN - JUL 7, 2016
sample, poured a deep dark golden colour with a white head on top. nose of floral fruit hops, light crisp malts, minerals, peach, sweet caramel, sweet honey, spices, which should be from the nutmeg. taste is sweet, honey, cherry pits, solid. Torrefacto (1736) - Madrid, SPAIN - JUN 24, 2016
