Bottle thanks to Xebbe. Dark brown color, small brown head. Aromas of cinnamon bun dough, roasted malt, soy, cough drops and licorice. Sweet taste with licorice cough drops, coffee, roasted malt and soy. Nische (2661) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - JUL 30, 2017
Cellared Bottle purchased at Systembolaget. Pours pitch black with a beige head that disappears quickly and leaves lacing. Strong liquorice aroma with dark chocolate, roasted malt and molasses. Similar strong, bitter, roasted flavor with loads of liquorice, dark chocolate and a lingering bitter coffee finish. This one has aged surprisingly beautiful. Aged bomber. Turbid blackish, tan head. Nose was dark malt, choc, oaky spirits. Dense palate, dark malt, molasses, nuts, hops, complex finish. Xebbe (183) - - FEB 4, 2017
God rostad ton i doften. Lite torkad frukt återfinns även med smörkola.
Smaken är lite platt och tråkig mot vad jag förväntat mig.

Draft. Poured black hue with large creamy light brown head that lasted with very good lacing. Aroma was a heavy toasted malt, strong coffee and alcohol aroma. Medium to heavy body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. Medium to heavy complex toasted sweet malt flavor and a medium to heavy complex sweet finish of moderate to long duration. Very good brew and a standout.

Had this bottle in the cellar and found it this evening. Poured into stout glass. Pours a dark brown with a slightly dark khaki head. Head dissipates some but leaves a ton of lacing. Dark coffee, alcohol, and subtle floral notes on aroma. Taste is big stout - lots of coffee, caramel, chocolate. bbbeer (903) - Massachusetts, USA - NOV 7, 2016
Inky black appearance, small beige head. Aroma toasty malt and caramel. Medium full body. A little alcohol. Syrupy mouthfeel. Sweet flavor, chocolate and caramel, with some background roasted nuts. Finishes drier, but overall while solid enough a bit syrupy and not as complex as it might have been. Christos (5909) - Arnhem, NETHERLANDS - OCT 19, 2016

Great. Booga (114) - Michigan, USA - SEP 26, 2016
2015 Vintage batch #15 (also 8.5% ABV). This is a style I really like. I have sought this one out for a while and was excited when Avery started MI distribution. Gotta say I was disappointed by this one. Pours dark but not viscous like the highest quality stouts. Not much in the aroma. One finger beige head that was quite rocky. Better than most of the locals in terms of flavor but not on par with the many world class implies I can get on the local market. Flavor is OK but not complex. Some roast but no offsetting flavored. Low sweetness. A little boozy for the low ABV in this style and kind f a weird bitter finish with an aftertaste I did not appreciate. Might buy in a bar if it’s the only solid beer there, but won’t go seeking this out very hard again. TH28 (488) - - MAY 29, 2016
750ml bottle. Oct 2014 bottle date. Appearance: Black, opaque, with a light khaki head that dissipates quickly.
Aroma: Plum and dark cherry fruitiness is quite strong, with dark chocolate and a light roast.
Taste: A sharp dark roasty malt, with a touch of wood and cherry. Bitterness is on the lower end of the style.
Mouthfeel: Medium body with low carbonation. Alcohol is noticeable and accentuates the astringency of the roast
Finish: Leaves a touch of roast and a slight oxidized malt.
Overall: A decent but not spectacular imperial stout. Aroma has a nice cherry character to counter the roast. Taste comes off as a bit harsh, especially for a beer with 18 mths on it at 8.5 ABV, as the alcohol and roast come off a little astringent.
