COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Behold the stunning crimson hues through the inky blackness. Inhale the noble Hallertau hops, spicy and floral. Savor the flavors redolent of English toffee, rich mocha, sweet molasses, candied currants and a hint of anise. We highly recommend cellaring additional bottles, as the Czar will continue to mature and become denser and more complex with age.

not mind blowing but good. Aroma is bakers chocolate, figs, hints of vine. Pours black with thin head and red edges, taste is sweet and kind of lacks complexity, missing bitterness, deep roast coffee, toffees, caramels, sugars. mostly just bakers chocolate and a sweetness. Palate is a bit thinner than I’d like overall it’s good but better can be found pretty easily.

Bottle, 650 ml, from Beergium. Shared with rest of the crew. Pours black with small light brownish head. Roasted malts, chocolate, cocoa, some fruity notes. Low carbonation. Medium bodied, overall seems a bit thin. somehow expected more, not sure if something went wrong.

Backlog ŚFP #10 Dużo czekolady, karmelu, nieco sosu sojowego i pumperniklu. W smaku nieco za duzo lako i karmelu, za mało czekolady. Imperialny porter bałtycki bardziej niż ris. Niezłe.

Bottle 22oz., release 2016 with 10.6%abv.: pours black opaque with foamy brown head with good lasting laces on glass. Aroma: candy bar, toasted toffee, gint of chocolate, dark fruit esters, licorice...flavour follows aroma with intensity and in all notes mentioned above. Finish is slightly bitter from roastiness, gentle astringent, dody is full, texture soft, carbonation is moderate.

GG, Seattle. Thin off-white, lingering cream. Heavy dark brown, light on edges. Sweet malty nose. Syrupy edge to the sip, moderately sweet up front before a softer roast and burnt bitterness comes up. Dark, chewy red fruit and raisins. Light hint of smoked malts. Pepper and anise. A round stickiness to finish. Nice.
