Pulled out of retirement for a collaboration with Tap XIV in Denver. Inky black pour with a thick light tan head. Lovely Jose of dark chocolaty roasty tones with Barrel char, whiskey, a little vanilla and a little brown sugar with a boozy roasty depth. Big dark roasty chocolaty flavor that’s boozy and whiskeyed with some woody char and burnt vanilla tones, lingering roasty semisweetness and a touch of cocoa. Lots of depth and roast and barrel, but not too boozy or too whiskeyed or too oaked. Just charming all around. Ratman197 (14978) - Arvada, Colorado, USA - FEB 28, 2010
On tap at the Rackhouse poured a clear dark brown nearly black with a lasting brown head. Aromas of colorado whiskey, oak, vanilla, dark chocolate, roastiness and light carmel. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of colorado whiskey, oak, vanilla, dark chocolate and light roastiness with a smooth lingering colorado whiskey finish.
